Wisconsin's formula to success has been the following, running the ball well,
utilizing the TE in the passing game, and bringing a ton of pressure on 1st and 3rd downs.
Yesterday, Wisconsin was without their top TE but they were able to run the ball even when Northwestern knew the run was coming. Wisconsin blitzed on 1st and 3rd downs all game long. Northwestern's QB never had time to throw the ball and the pressure killed a lot of Northwestern drives.
Even though Wisconsin's QB had stats ranking him pretty high prior to yesterday's game, he was not impressive at all against Northwestern and from what I have seen, I believe our QB is better.
When you have an aggressive defense like Wisconsin their style of play will dictate the game in all phases from field position, TOP, score, and will cause a complete disruption to the opposing offense game plan.
