Isu got jobbed

They all were legit on opening series holding calls. Shock coming from fan base who cried about officials after a no call PI in OT against Iowa and said refs hosed them that game even though was 10 Iowa penalties vs 2 for them.
What about this one?

Yeah, when they replayed it it was like what the hell? This game reminded me of the jobbing iowa took against Florida in the bowl game several years ago, had the same feel to it. These so called refs shouldn't ever ref again.
I think ISU fans complain about officiating too much, but this game was different. The complaints are valid. I'd really like to know if it was the same official each time that overruled the 3 penalties.

They were up by 12.... they gagged. We’ve done it before and they did it today.

While there certainly was slanted officiating, Campbell did his team zero favors that last possession by passing the damn ball. I mean, I get it, 1st down and they win.

But if you run 3 times, no matter what KSU is out two timeouts they needed that last drive.
Not to mention calling timeout with 11 seconds left, chaos on the field and K State out of timeouts.

That was such a weird situation. Ball clearly at the one, lining up, ref moves it to the 3? Then another red runs in and moves it to the one and Campbell calls TO. What the hell was that all around?

As a Hawkeye fan living outside the state of Iowa, I can confirm that no one cares about this except the KSU & ISU fans and around 17 to 22 fans in this board.

The Iron Bowl was on at the same time and we are talking about a game that decided the middle of the pack in the B12?

Wrong, I care about it and I dont live in Iowa.

What a smug comment. You do realize the same could be said about the Iowa game vs Nebraska?

Rigged games and sub par refs in the Big 12? That's shocking.

Simple solution. Hand in the 35 million check and leave for the Mountain West or MAC. Problem solved.

Really? You’d bench a guy for vandelism?

Iowa benched Desmond King for one quarter for being five minutes late to a team meeting. Benched him in a critical game. But to your point, in the larger picture of egregious offenses, this seems minor.

Yes, it was the referee. But I'm pretty sure this was the same crew that worked the ISU-OU game, and we got the better end of the officiating down there.

The three times they picked up the flags against KSU in the fourth quarter were something I'd never seen before, and in retrospect, the one that's hardest to understand is the time the KSU player was flagged for hitting Kempt after he had slid and was down. They didn't review the video; they just talked and picked up the flag.

Here's another way to look at whether you should question poor officiating in the grand scheme of a game.....

If someone you don't know and had never met walks into your house and shoots you, do you blame the person that shot you or do you look at the countless other previous life choices you made that led to this point of you being shot in your own home while doing nothing of consequence?

Yeah the guy shot me, but if I would've worn my brown shirt to work last Thursday then this also could've been avoided............

But yeah poor officiating doesn't affect the game because you should've scored touchdowns on every other play..........

Nope.
That's a piss poor comparison, but other than that... yeah... you're right!

Regardless of your like or dislike of the teams involved, when definition of the rules and/or the latitude given to enforcers of those rules become corrupt or incompetent they will ultimately impact YOU in the future.

This not only apples to sports, but also in the political arena.

Officials had already called timeout there.
Yes. But the clock would have started right away. KSU players were all over the place. They would have spiked the ball with 7-8 seconds left. One of them jumps and runoff ends the game. Instead, they had time to catch their breath and plan the last 11 seconds.

Could be. Things were pretty hectic there. I couldn't believe it when the guy spotted the ball on the three. And I have no idea what was going on with ISU's defense, so I don't know what prompted Campbell to call the timeout.

A worse call was the pass in the flat on second down of our last possession, the play prior to the bullshit pass interference he-said-she-said farce.

LC, I often wonder what's with the steady flow of clones on this page. (actually, I don't...we all know the formula). But I have to give you credit for being pretty reasonable in your posts. It's refreshing coming from that direction.

Was on ISU'S side until their receiver Butler did the flip the ball into the opponents lap after scoring a TD.

Was hoping they would lose after that.

Did Campbell snub Snyder on the handshake afterwards?

Yeah but he was benched a quarter against Nebraska. Hardly a game to be worried about. ;-)

It was a bad call. But factor in how many times has Lazard got away with pushing off in this game let alone his whole career and it's a minor hiccup in the order of things.

Nope, quality shake. Snyder was overheard to say he was "pulling for Campbell, they deserved to win". Very sportsmanlike

No. The handshake is on video. Campbell says "Congratulations." Snyder says, "You deserved to win."

Yes. He was arrested for a crime. In addition, HE RAN FROM THE COPS.

If it were just the vandalism, i would say "sit out the first quarter and all is good". Running from the police? 1 game suspension
Agree if he did, but there are differing stories on that. I'm not sticking up for him or for the coach; I just don't know what happened. The story I heard was that the other guy was going to take a picture of Peavy putting his initials and number on the underside of the bridge, and when the cops came, the other guy ran, and Peavy started after him, then stopped.

I would have not started him just for being stupid, but I'm not the coach.
