You obviously didn't watch him play. He sure made good decisions beating OU in Norman in his 1st start. He then managed to win against TCU two weeks later. My guess is that Kempt won't be the starter. ISU has another kid, Zeb Noland that I would expect to beat him out. Kempt is going to be an interception machine this year if he does start - his throwing motion is very long and his decision making is suspect. He got very lucky as multiple potential interceptions were dropped during their big wins last year. You can also bet that wide receiver won't nearly be the strength it was last year as well. Noland isn't much better than Kempt except he's more mobile. ISU's offense ground to a standstill at times with either guy since neither brings a great deal of accuracy to the table. Any way you slice it, Iowa State is not going to win in Kinnick this year.

Yeah, uh okay.....TCU's only score was on a kickoff return. Your post is quite comical.TCU handed isu the game with three red zone turnovers and the refs calling TCU for holding every series while isu was tackling defenders and not getting called. Home cooking was good that day.

I watched that game. Had a conversation after the game (granted, with another Iowa fan) that ISU is going to have a hard time complaining about officiating anymore. You would have thought they were playing in Hilton.Yeah, uh okay.....TCU's only score was on a kickoff return. Your post is quite comical.

That said, ISU’s defense was really good that game. Kempt was pretty average IIRC?
Edit: Just looked it up. He had a decent game statistically. 21-34 202 2td 1int...in my defense, half of that could have been Lazard bailing him out? Ewewejun, you’ll have to help me out with that. Can’t remember if there were any ridiculous catches?
as funny as saying kempt had something to do with you beating tcu?Yeah, uh okay.....TCU's only score was on a kickoff return. Your post is quite comical.

The ISU defense forced many mistakes this year, including TCU. But if it allows you to sleep better, call it however you want.Like I said, TCU qb made bone headed plays inside the 10 yard line with the bad throw and fumble holding the ball like a loaf of bread. You guys were gifted a w by TCU, take it and be happy.

It's a two sided game. Unless the ISU defense did the scoring, he lead the team to a win. That's what QB's doLike I said, TCU qb made bone headed plays inside the 10 yard line with the bad throw and fumble holding the ball like a loaf of bread. You guys were gifted a w by TCU, take it and be happy.
Kempt had a QB rating 10 points higher than Stanley and a completion % over 10 points higher. And the ISU receiving corp will still be very good next year.
Big 12 defenses add about 10 points to each, so looks like they were pretty even last year. But Stanley has far greater potential, obviously.
ISU only played one Big 10 team and had maybe their best offensive performance of the entire season last year. I'll have to defer to you on that one.

Iowa's secondary played HORRIBLE vs you guys, that can't be argued.ISU only played one Big 10 team and had maybe their best offensive performance of the entire season last year. I'll have to defer to you on that one.
NW RB looked pretty good. PSU will have a good one as will wiscy. They'll be bringing one of the best RBs the Hawks will see all year. Yes, I believe that.
They'll be bringing Butler back at WR and let's be honest, he'd be the best option Iowa would have if we had him.
They'll be facing a solid Iowa DL, a fresh group of LBs, and a mixed bag in the secondary. In the 2nd game of the year, with the Hawks not sure what's going on offense yet, I'm not able to make the same proclamation you did! But I hope you're right.

That said, they were all inexperienced and still figuring things out.
If you think that one game makes b12 D better than b10, that is hilarious!
Ask any non b10-b12 fan which league plays more D.....
Douches who use this board to constantly remind us of their repulsive politics make me wanna vomit^^That pic makes me want to vomit^^
Well said ichawk. It seems like they hand these things out like candy, until Iowa comes in with a legit request and gets turned aside in every instance. KF should just not waste his time, as we always know the answer before the request. The consistent inconsistency of NCAA. Kempt gets bailed out with a 6th year for being a vagabond college student, while a guy like Drew Ott can't get a 5th while staying dedicated to his team and school.
