ISU QB, gets granted another year (Kempt)

They'll be bringing one of the best RBs the Hawks will see all year. Yes, I believe that.

They'll be bringing Butler back at WR and let's be honest, he'd be the best option Iowa would have if we had him.

They'll be facing a solid Iowa DL, a fresh group of LBs, and a mixed bag in the secondary. In the 2nd game of the year, with the Hawks not sure what's going on offense yet, I'm not able to make the same proclamation you did! But I hope you're right.

I'll take Eppy / Hesse / A nelson over their OTs, and add Nixon in the middle. Kempt better get it out in 3 seconds.

Iowa's secondary played HORRIBLE vs you guys, that can't be argued.
That said, they were all inexperienced and still figuring things out.
If you think that one game makes b12 D better than b10, that is hilarious!
Ask any non b10-b12 fan which league plays more D.....

Like when PP had Amani Hooker (pretty sure it was him) covering Lazard one on one on 4th and goal at the south end. I was like c'mon man this is gonna be too damn easy for them! Went just as expected. Hard enough to cover a WR one on one knowing where he is going and you don't. Add in a newbie against good senior WR! All in all they held when they needed to though and the drop by Butler (?) at the end helped!

You obviously didn't watch him play. He sure made good decisions beating OU in Norman in his 1st start. He then managed to win against TCU two weeks later.
I think the Kempt critic must have watched him when he was hurt. He was pulled in the 2nd quarter of the Oklahoma State game for Noland and sat out the next game at Baylor. He was a solid performer when healthy, but Noland looked pretty good when he got in there also.

OU jumped out to a 14-0 lead with Iowa State only having run 3 plays from scrimmage. It took Lanning to jump start the offense at Oklahoma, but Kempt did well in the game after that.
