ISU/SC: Big mixed feelings here…

First, I just don’t like South Carolina at all.

Second, I really don’t dislike ISU and I think that Audi crooks is a hell of a player and has a great spirit.

But unless they get some shit figured out, I keep telling you this Iowa State team has a major major guard problem

I think they will be. Fennelly's teams always start slow. This is just highlighted more because there were actual expectations coming into the season.

There's still no excuse for how they've played considering what they returned, but it's just a thing with Fennelly at this point.

If they're still on the roller coaster in January, then you can start talking about epic failures.

Well that's the problem with returning everyone, and having no room to bring in a transfer and potentially wreck team chemistry.

It was the issue last year with Iowa. There wasn't really a lot of room to bring in a key transfer even though efforts were made to do just that.

It didn't help the team in the short term, but the current roster greatly benefitted from the experience, particularly O'Grady.

Maryland turned over Duke 10 times in the first quarter of their game. With Clark we could attack a press throw over it with her strength of accurate long passes. Not sure we it won’t be a problem

Iowa State brought in Hansford from Oregon State who has yet to score this season in 7 games.

Couple quick things here… First and foremost your premise is a good one.

With that said pretty much all of our guards that play significant Minutes for us are better than every guard Iowa State has except for possibly Ryan and she’s not nearly as athletic as our guards.

Finally, we have three girls four if McCabe plays like she did the other day who will grab the ball and get up the court.

We are a different beast than Iowa State. Not saying that won’t still be a tough game. It is a rivalry game, but we are better, more well-rounded, and much better defensively.
