This...doing his level best to ruin another good wrestler in Harrington. Maybe every night is pizza night in Ames. They have some good ones in Great Plains and Pizza Pit. Seems like moving guys up is the thing to do.
Just went over to their board. One wouldn't have known there was a match tonight. I posted the results...not to bust their balls but man do I feel for them. Cannot believe KJ has any support.
Makes me wonder more how in heck did VT lose to these guys? Sure a couple of injuries but darn they still should have beat ISU..So Dressler what in heavens name are u so upset about? Look in the mirror.
Not sure what to think of Harrington. The big legal issues he had pre season might have ruined his focus and training regimen. Oh, and having an incompetent HC doesn't help either.
Every single guy, except TW, at least the ones expected to contribute, have regressed during the season.
This isn't new to that team, but why it's allowed to continue is baffling.
To get beaten that badly by a HORRIBLE Gopher team is embarrassing.

Just awful. I really hope kj is gone for the sake of everyone. I really like the twins but I'm not sure they get the job if they fire Kj. I think they would have to go after a big name.
Harrington is shocking to me. I honestly thought he was very mature and d1 ready. I have never seen someone so bad in the bottom position.
I get it they have a great class coming in but something needs to change.

Cyclone Fanatic's board generally has a lot of activity. But I caution you...several guys over their pride themselves as amateur Iraqi Information Ministers.
Thanks...popped in and seems some are finally coming to their senses on KJ although wanting to hire guys that are still competing like Dake, DT, or Varner who have never even been assistants. Funny stuff. When asked what they need, somebody posted a pic of a Dan Gable wrestling instructional DVD...haha. Another poster said to ban him. A sensitive soul like that wouldn't last long here. Maybe Mitch putting in work with the DVD pic?

The name someone floated was Drew Pariano. I think he might be the right guy, but I would think he'd want a B1G job so he could stick it to NW. I think MSU job would be good.
Back to ISU... No reason to think the better recruits coming in will have success there. They haven't sustained a viable light weight guy and the Paulsens' can't coach everyone.
KJ likely doesn't get fired because I think Pollard is too lazy to go thru the time and effort to find a guy for a minor sport like wrestling.
According to my brother-in-law who is a ISU alum and wrestling backer, Pollard pays know attention to the wrestling program. His favorites are, football, basketball, and, track.I resemble that remark!

Man, it's a mess over there. Everyone and their mother knew Downey would be drama. I'll give it to him that he has had a rib injury and couldn't practice(keep his weight down). He's also been planning on going 184 since last summer so it's not really an excuse. I'm not sure why the guys at IAwrestle said that he already won his wrestle off at 184 and 197. He has a wrestle off at 197 on Friday and it's their first one.
I have heard it's basically a done deal that KJ is gone after this year. I really have no idea who they would bring in. I don't think they would give it to one of their assistant coaches. They would need to make a big splash with an outside hire. Pariano sounds like the obvious hire but it sounds like he has some personal issues that he would need to take care of first.
I would venture a guess that there are likely more than one wrestler who has indicated they are transferring if a change isn't made.

ISU's biggest problem now is that it isn't even a top tier program any more. They seem in a logjam with schools like SDSU, WV, NDSU, and the like for recruits and credibility. Passed by schools like NCST, Missouri, and lower level B1G schools.
The potential list of coaching candidates might not be as big as they hope or expect.
