Nebraska's last solid, glory season was 20 years ago.

I began following Iowa Football in 1974. First game: Beat #12 UCLA
40 years ago: Beat #7 Nebraska to open season
Today: Nebraska looks backwards for defining moments

There was no College Football Playoff. There were conference title games.

I do know one thing about the 1950s. Iowa wasn't an uncommon team in the Top 10 or higher.

Just like 2021.
