His teams always play with such great defensive effort. Even when they're not shooting great, they find a way to win. He is always coaching hard throughout the game. They are tremendous on the road and they close out every game with defensive stops. It would not surprise in the least if they make it to the Final Four this year.

Yeah, but see.................f*** Tom Izzo.

Am I wrong? I don't think I am.

Izzo's teams get away with murder on the defensive end.

That's 'defense' now, and has been for most of the last 10 seasons.

Foul constantly every possession and force the refs to whistle it all.

Good coaches know they won't, so they teach their guys to play that way.

I dislike Izzo for his demeanor on the sidelines - constant bawling at/to the refs - and the vast majority of his interviews, but the man knows his shit when it comes to bball.

Nope. Not even close.

He’s the best in the business……………..at keeping thugs like Appling, Walton, and crew out of prison during their Spartan playing careers.

Is it really that hard to see that MSU's basketball program is worlds better than Iowa's? If I asked 100 people who follow college basketball, 100 of them would share my opinion. And then there's you. 🤔
Maybe up until Izzo was hired, you could make a case that Iowa was at least on par with MSU, but now? Anyone who thinks Iowa has a better basketball program than MSU is living in some kind of bizzaro alternate reality. Or still thinks it's 1989.

If you asked those 100 which team has won 5 of the last 6 meetings they would also choose MSU. They would be wrong.

They still have the better program and it isn't close.

ISU beat Iowa in football 5 years in a row from 1998-2002. Did it mean they had the better program? Didn't think so.

Unreal that anyone is trying to make this argument with a straight face.

Where did I say Iowa had a better program?
