J Bo Goes Litigious

The thug who hit him should be in jail. Drinking is not an excuse for violence. Don’t drink if you cannot suppress your violent tendencies when doing so. Someone saying something to you that you don’t like is not an excuse for violence either. I hope this thug thinks hard about those facts as 25% of all of his future pre-tax pay is garnered by the state to pay off a large, large settlement.

If the situations were reversed (ISU athlete punched by Iowa athlete), would people feel the same way?

Both people are wrong here. ISU athlete shouldn't have resorted to violence, but Bohannon (by several accounts) had it coming. Unfortunately for the ISU kid, assault is a crime. Fortunately for Bohannon, acting like a d-bag isn't a crime. Both need to stay out of bars.

I hope the case gets thrown out. Waste of time.

You’re right…..assault is a crime & this d-bag loser should be in jail & be forced to pay up.

Guess sucker punching like a little b!tch is all good in Story County though.

The judge and legal system disagree with you.

And it was not a sucker punch.

Sucker punching not cool, but JBo was antagonizing a wedding party by throwing ice at them from a balcony. Not surprising that he got popped for it.
Again…..if being an a$$ justified assault, Georgie “2 inch vert” Niang would’ve gotten sucker punched every time we played him.

Luckily for him, our fans/players have more restraint than the MooU hillbillies.

Yes it was….came up from behind, spun him around, & immediately started punching him before he could react. Definition of sucker punch.

Not surprising though, coming from someone who spent time around all those d-bag Clown fans & their classless leader Polturd.

Loved JBo as a player, but he wouldn't last long in a small town.

I thought this just got settled and judge gave ISU guy 100 hours of community service????
That was for the criminal court legal matter. JBo’s lawsuit is a civil court legal action.

Two separate legal activities pertaining to the same incident. I’m sure the timing of civil suit immediately after the disposition of the criminal court matter is not a coincidence.

In Johnson County felons shooting illegal guns at people get time served, deferred sentence, probation, etc. so a sucker punch isn’t getting you locked up. Heard they decided to get tough on crime and bought a chalkboard so they could give the ‘write 100 times, I will not be a felon in possession of a gun’ on the board. Probation is erasing the board and clapping the erasers

He's clearly someone who grew up being shielded by his family/name.
This 100%. The guy has been shielded by growing up in a bball family since he was in middle school, he's never been in a position to see what happens after he gets loose lips with someone who doesn't care what his name is... until this video. I guarantee he won't do that again to a stranger.

This right here. Jbo would have had his a$$ handed to him a long time ago.
Guessing he’s just trying to get some money as the g-league doesn’t pay much. I’m surprised he didn’t go over seas to make a little more money but I’m guessing he didn’t want to get to far away from mommy and daddy.

I suspect that Jordan has also been on the receiving end of a lot of undeserved shit tossed his direction simply because of the family surname,.. Lot of haters out there who think the easiest way improve their relative position in life is by trying to detract from others.

He couldn't make it overseas otherwise he'd be there as he's never going beyond his current level here.

Everyday I'm surprised how stupid people are. Today, you surprised me.

Feels like this is a way for JBo to "win" the fight ... get the last word, so to speak.

I wonder what damages he is seeking. Probably compensation for some medical bills for sure. Physical/mental pain and suffering as well? I have no specific knowledge to the degree of his injuries, but I do know that he was able to compete at a high level of B1G basketball in the months following the incident, and I have not heard him give any interviews in which he talks about lingering effects of the confrontation. So I am curious to see how this plays out.

Doesn't matter what you think of the guy. Assault is assault regardless of the target and if you think this was the only time this guy attacked someone that's probably not the case.
You gotta love Clown fans coming here to defend their sucker-punching little b!tch. In civilized parts of the US it's called assault.....in trailer-park Story County it's called "gittin em good!"

I don;t know JBo personally but I do know Nick. Nick is a good dude, very nice, very personable, a well adjusted young man. What he did was wrong, he has acknowledged that, and is ready to move along.

The fact that JBo is suing says much about him. He was the antagonist that led to him getting his ass kicked. He instigated the whole thing when he was throwing ice and dumping drinks on an innocent wedding party He got called on it, he got his ass kicked, move along. He did not get sucker punched.

JBo sure looks entitled in this situation, a spoiled brat if you will. Maybe he should just admit he got what he deserved and move along to his stupid ass podcast.

#1, I'm not defending Kron. He crossed a line that most people don't cross. At the same time, I certainly understand it, especially if you have a few beers in you. Not an excuse for his behavior. Most of us (I'm sure) have been in a bar and seen this played out 100x. Going to a bouncer or bar owner and "reporting it" isn't really an option to those in their early to mid 20's. Kron was wrong to do what he did, but let's not make Bohannon out to be an innocent victim here. He was acting like a dick. Sometimes you get punched. My father wouldve said, "you deserved it, dont do dumb shit like that." Even my Linn-Mar friends choose their words carefully when it comes to Jordan. One said very eloquently "He's quite different than his brothers". His actions led to this. I feel zero sympathy for him. Time to use his college degree and get a job - move a helluva long ways from Iowa City where he is unknown.

Well adjusted people go around sucker punching people? That’s a new one, I suppose.

JBo got what he deserved? I think that’s what the civil suit is for.

Being a dumb-ass doesn’t warrant assault. And coming up behind a guy & hitting him before he can defend himself is 100% a sucker punch.

Hope your buddy Nick gets what he deserves & has to pay up. Sorry your hero turned out to be such a little b!tch….that must hurt.

“Sometimes you get punched”…..that might be the most hillbilly Clown statement ever!!😂😂🤡

30 years ago it might have been worth it but today it's just not worth throwing a punch unless it's clearly self defense where you had no choice but to fight.

For situations like this? Too many times the person falls back, hits their head, etc and what comes from that? A possible arrest, jail time, lawsuits and a lot of money lost (for an attorney, payment to the victim, lost wages, etc).

The little bitch is the one who got his ass kicked and is still crying about it years later.
