No, if you sucker punch someone and injure him, you should expect to have to pay up. No question at all.
And if you run your mouth like a little bitch, you should expect to be punched. How do some people not get that they were both being d-bags that’s night. Well especially that night.
So much for upholding the rule of law. Just because you don't like someone isn't a sound reason to wish for someone's personal and civil rights to be violated. Both people were not wrong. One person crossed a line by stalking (he sought him out and then ran away) and then assaulted him. In your mind, he may have deserved it, but that isn't justification.

as i mentioned before, throwing punches leads to bad results. In this case, a lot of money will be lost (for a lawyer, lost wages, payment to JBo as a result of this suit, etc).
Well adjusted doesn't equate with assault and battery. Well adjusted is walking away from any physical confrontation.

Perhaps Nick was justified in which case only JBo should be charged with assault, he did throw an object with intent to offend someone which in some places that is enough for assault. Personally it sounds like both should have been charged and convicted to me.
If Bohannon gets awarded anything in the suit, then he should have sued. You don't know what happened to Bohannon after this incident. Did he hit his head. Did he need an MRI, CT scan, etc. Insurance doesn't cover the entire bill.

This is quite a society we live in today! JBo was lucky he didn't get shot. People pull out guns for things like this every day. People get pushed in front of subway cars, road rage shootings, people walk into stores and take what they want and leave with no repercussions. Law and order has taken a back seat to violence. This case brings back memories of the Ryan Driscoll situation with the "Man on the Hood". Both did something ill-advised, and it escalated into something much worse. That's how the majority of these things end, especially if alcohol is involved. This is a big story in downtown Iowa City...just another night in downtown Chicago, Detroit, or Columbus, Oh. where I live,
