See, now here is an example of why no one will ever take anything you say seriously and why people like you are part of what is making these boards a shit show. Suggesting that the owners of an Iowa fan forum have a hard on for posters who post positive comments about Iowa is beyond ridiculous. Your victim mentality and penchant for arguing with and taking any poster to task who dares to question the infallibility of the Iowa staffs isn't welcome by most, other than the very few with that same unquestioning mindset that views any unfavorable opinion as a personal attack. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and fans can be critical of the teams they support. I'm placing you on ignore as many others already have, but know that your willingness to derail so many threads with nonsensical over the top arguments detracts from this site. Do better by thinking before you post. Try to be more factual and less combative. You might actually enjoy it more. That's all I've got.

This. You'd have to be a damn loon to thing Tom or Blair would have banned someone for making positive comments about our teams. Most of us critique our teams because we CARE about their success. That should be obvious. Now sometimes people get carried away, and we get some trolls, but most of the posters here want what we all want, and realize that overall we have a healthy successful program.

I drove this stretch of road over the weekend and really had to look for a pedestrian crosswalk. As another poster noted, the crosswalk is in an awful spot on the edge of town where most cars are probably picking up speed to get to Hwy 218. It's not really clear as it's on/near the crest of a hill. As infrequent as people cross here, I think pedestrians need to be given a fair shake when crossing. As much as I hate the idea, i think there should be a pedestrian controlled red light to stop all traffic both directions so pedestrians can safely cross - similar to the light downtown near the pedmall while crossing to the Old capital mall....
