Hmmm that doesn’t fit the narrative now does it?
Yes quite odd, and several of the mistakes have been by our veteran safeties
There is a difference between running and being mobile. QB doesn't have to be a running back but it was nice for a minute to have one that didn't stand there waiting to be sacked.I have a feeling that Kirk would point out to folks what happened this year as to why he doesn’t want a “running QB”…he probably has some experiences that lead him to this belief, too.
This is some merit to the “running QBs and dogs that chase cars” analogy.
Has that Ricky Stanzi vibe to him...

That's why with sports, I always go in with the expectation that we might lose.
Just look at all of the upsets yesterday. Alabama, as just one example, will not be in the CFP.
True, but the DB's must work together as a unit and we've had a mess at that left CB spot all year. Seems to be alot of confusion handing off WR's running through their zones. Lee seems to be progressing, and Hall did make a great play staying inside the WR for that nice interception yesterday. Stratton will start vs Nebby.
Cade will start the bowl game.

Has there ever been a starting-out-the-year 5th string QB, start and win at Iowa?
Offense is still the issue! Defense has done enough to keep the games in range of wins! The defense has given up big plays and has had tackling issues all season long.
These issues cost us big time in losses against Iowa State, Michigan State and UCLA.
We are 7-4; with better defense, we likely would be 10-1 (or 9-2).
Idk if 32 and 35 is in range for many teams.Offense is still the issue! Defense has done enough to keep the games in range of wins!

if both are healthy might be one of the better qb duos in the b1g. lester could make very interesting adjustments during games next year

I think we have the beginning of the Lester era in QBs with these two. I can't wait to see what they look like after a full spring of practice. If Marco returns or we pick up a transfer QB the young QBs coming in will have no pressure on them and can develop and learn from Lester and the guys ahead of them.I like the vibe of both Sully & Shaggy.....they both can sling it with accuracy

Cade will start.
He will get 2-3 series.
Iowa will be down like 17-0.
Cade will get benched.
See 2022 Nebraska game for the rest of the story.

If he's ready/healthy. I don't see that happening.Do you really think Cade will start vs Little Debbie?

The bowl game on the other hand...
Obviously he's one of the worst in the business at making that decision.
Are you a paid troll to defend his decisions?
You can not think that Kirk is good at evaluating quarterbacks?
Why does this have to be mutually exclusive? We DON'T know what Kirk and co are seeing when they've been recruiting QBs the last 5+ years...At the same time, our turnover and lack of production at the QB position makes it undeniable that they've not been good at it either.I see no reason to make the leap that you have that he's bad at it

I freely admit that with all the rumors coming out of Fort Kinnick last week that for the first time I was wondering if perhaps Kirk was losing the team a bit. Based on yesterday I was clearly wrong in that regard.
We will also have Pat Fitzgerald's son coming in as a walk on from the Chicago area. I think you might have described him one time as a real steal who should make a nice addition for depth in the QB room. Here's what the QB room might look like next season:
