James Austin Johnson's SNL Trump Impression

Anyone see this? Between this and his Biden impression this guy seems really able to nail the voice mannerisms. Could probably use work on the physical mannerisms.

His sentences each seem to be in two different voice inflections. One is spot on and the other is nowhere close.

I love Cecily Strong. She's talented and beautiful. But I can't even watch when she does Judge Jeanine. It's physically painful to watch.

He has Cheeto's voice better than anyone else. His Biden is good but the best Biden impression is by Jason Sudakeis. Dana Carvey's is pretty good too.

Actually his Trump impression was the only decent part of the show. I am not one of these people who say all SNL sucks compared to years back. But this season has been terrible

I don’t know if it is because so many of the cast are doing other projects, that they are half adding it. The writing is just not good

and there were 4 white guys who were similar and they got rid of the only one who could occasionally be funny (Beck B)

Mooney, Day and Moffett are horrible

Dana Carvey is pretty good. Nails the voice mannerisms pretty well but a little high pitched for my taste.

Sudakeis's impression is funny but he doesn't really nail any of the mannerisms or the voice well. To me it's kind of like Melissa McCarthy's impression of Sean Spicer. An A+ for humor but it never looks realistic.

This weeks episode was widely considered to be one of the best in years. Not sure what you were watching.

I hadn't seen that cold open until today. That Trump was fantastic! The two "Can I get 60 seconds on the clock?" bits were hilarious!

So basically you are pulling shit out of your ass without any rationale . Gotcha

I disagree, although it is just my opinion. I did not find it funny. While it was neat that Warwick was there, there is nothing funny about the inpersonation

Goober the Clown was interesting, more so because of the context I read on Twitter afterwards.

That said, I didn’t laugh once. The audience wasn’t really laughing either other than for the props.

The cold open w/Trump was hilarious. EVERYONE was laughing b/c the actor has him and his mumbling, bumbling, amphetamine-popping self down perfectly.

But keep telling yourself whatever you need to believe to get through the day.

Think he was talking about Strong's bit. It wasn't a funny, ha, ha bit. But it certainly was memorable.

I was talking about that specific skit. Did I hurt your feelings or something?

No, it looks like it was a misunderstanding. What I thought you were commenting on, would‘ve meant you had the sense of humor of a catfish. But I think you weren't guilty of what I thought. So I give you a pass...for now.

Agree. I’ve been a pretty loyal SNL viewer for awhile; I even thought a few seasons ago they were at a real high level. This year, I’ve stopped watching many of the episodes as I just didn’t find it funny. Not sure what isn’t working. Maybe I’m just getting older, not sure.

This season hasn't been very good. This past episode was.

I always record it and watch later. I can usually tell within about 5 seconds if a skit is worth watching. I maybe watch half of the skits, sometimes only 2 or 3. Weekend Update is usually worth watching. The musical guest is rarely worth watching.

I mean I generally have found something funny in each episode from past few years. Now Weekend Update is generally it

Oh well, next month we at least get treated to more Joke Swap
