If KF and company are still running things and this guy is as athletic and fast as promised, you can be assured this will be like handing the keys to a Ferrari to your 93 year old grandmother.
This kid doesn't belong in our offense. 10.86 100M last year as a sophomore.

News like this use to excite me for the future but I've seen too many talented QBs at Iowa sit on the bench while untalented players played to get very excited.
These are all plays from last week's game, so not assembled highlights from an entire season. I like the fact that he doesn't throw every pass with the same velocity. More accurate than what we've got now.
I remember when Petras committed and it was reported he broke all of Jared Goff's high school records. I have been conditioned since to believe it when I see it when it comes to the QB position.

Either he sees starting time b/c how awful QB1 is or he likes pain and suffering. He must not see himself wearing a red hat, holding a clipboard and signaling in plays while watching this sh!tshow. He must not have had Padilla or Labas as his host on the visit.
Love seeing the early commitment. If he can get his hands on the playbook now, he’ll hopefully have a quarter of it down by his junior year in Iowa City.

You can go back on his recruiting page and read his old interviews. Not once did he mention MSU or schools looking at him as a WR. His two B10 offers were Iowa and Purdue. He received some interest from Michigan but nothing from MSU.
You can also go back and listen to the WUW episode where he talks about MSU recruiting him to play WR. I’ll take his word for it. There’s a lot that goes on in the recruiting process that we don’t know about. I can’t imagine there’s much incentive for him to lie about it.
I’ll take HS Ricky’s word then trying to remember what happened 17 years ago.
