Go 0-18 shooting. Fran really needs to figure out how to sign some guards that can score and play d
2 of the 3 play good defense and should be playing. The third gets absolutely abused on defense and shouldn't play much. But, the one that shouldn't play gets the most minutes. It's baffling.Go 0-18 shooting. Fran really needs to figure out how to sign some guards that can score and play d
If they retire his jersey I think I might stop supporting iowa basketball.JoeT has played pretty well this season.
Ulis can hit FTs.
JBO....time to retire his jersey.
I liked the look of that young hot shooting 2G...Connor McCaffery I think is his name.
He has some pretty impressive records. If they retire his jersey I think I might stop supporting iowa basketball.
Mainly because of the supporting cast he had. Cook, Garza and weezy are all in the nba. They got him easy assists and open looks from the outside. Look what he’s doing without them.He has some pretty impressive records.
That's the weird thing. He's still getting some wide open looks. He can't hit those either. After Cmac's big night I think he just replaced Cmac as the worst 3pt shooter on the team.Mainly because of the supporting cast he had. Cook, Garza and weezy are all in the nba. They got him easy assists and open looks from the outside. Look what he’s doing without them.
I understand that but jabo has never taken us beyond first round of the danceHe has some pretty impressive records.
Watch the game again! There is a reason JT doesn’t play at the end of the games. He moves so fast and plays off the script that others get caught off position on offense. He gets caught on the wrong guys on defensive plays.Whether Joe T has missed a couple shots or not, he’s by far the best pg Iowa has. The JBo stuff goes without saying, but Ulis should not be getting two ot’s worth of time at point over him.
I looked and didn’t see anything. Am I missing something here?Mainly because of the supporting cast he had. Cook, Garza and weezy are all in the nba. They got him easy assists and open looks from the outside. Look what he’s doing without them.
Agreed, it's not his fault he's playing. All time Big three point shooter deserves post career accolades. He has some pretty impressive records.
Fran has never taken us beyond round of 32, he needs to go.I understand that but jabo has never taken us beyond first round of the dance
Bohannon’s return on investment this year is in the crapper. Fran’s playing him big minutes and in crucial moments and he’s not getting it done. Just reset with JoeT, Ulis, Perkins, and Sandfort and move forward.Give all of JBOs minutes to Perkins, Joe and Sandfort and Iowa wins that game.
Frans use of JBO is just nuts.
Its incredibly simple.Bohannon’s return on investment this year is in the crapper. Fran’s playing him big minutes and in crucial moments and he’s not getting it done. Just reset with JoeT, Ulis, Perkins, and Sandfort and move forward.
As opposed to JBo? He got posted up and and abused on defense and then brought nothing on offense. Absolutely ridiculous to have him in there instead of Joe T.I’m probably wrong but I think Fran didn’t like the JoeT matchup against Penn States bigger guards . I think they posted him up a few times, Ullis has better length
Watch the game again, with your eyes glued on JT, and see how many mistakes he makes. As opposed to JBo? He got posted up and and abused on defense and then brought nothing on offense. Absolutely ridiculous to have him inn there instead of Joe T.
Fran had Zach McCabe always playing the final critical minutes and that never worked out either. He's simply a below average coach and his abysmal record in close games proves it.Bohannon’s return on investment this year is in the crapper. Joe T has more game winners this year.Watch the game again, with your eyes glued on JT, and see how many mistakes he makes.
At least Jbo is our first in many categories, assists, free throws, 3 points made ... We have won a lot of games with him as our PG. How many memorable moments/ stats can you offer for JT?
I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound critical of the kid, he’s doing the best he can, but I hope he transfers to a mid major school to have a memorable senior season.
Please stop living in the past and come to the present season where JBo being limited after 2 hip surgeries lacks the quickness to guard Big Ten guards. Additionally, the present where JBo is averaging 29% from the field and 27% from three point range on offense and can't get open.Watch the game again, with your eyes glued on JT, and see how many mistakes he makes.

This argument is dog crap, saying JBO is better option because of what he did 3 years ago. The guy played 35 minutes, scored two, zero rebounds, jacked a half court brick on a fast break and ball hogged for an air ball at end of regulation.Watch the game again, with your eyes glued on JT, and see how many mistakes he makes.

Yeah, he really struggles to finish, its odd because everything else he does is pretty solid.I thought Ulis played pretty well down the stretch and OTs. Handled very well, made his FTs, solid on D, but man he’s gotta figure out how to finish. He plays more calm than Joe, and that’s why he sees crunch time. Can only get better let’s hope.
Jabo got taken to basket alot as wellAs opposed to JBo? He got posted up and and abused on defense and then brought nothing on offense. Absolutely ridiculous to have him inn there instead of Joe T.
Maybe so but that’s still a better option than Bohannon who Penn State clearly was targeting in OT.I’m probably wrong but I think Fran didn’t like the JoeT matchup against Penn States bigger guards . I think they posted him up a few times, Ullis has better length
Good point. We also are missing an opportunity to get our two young big guys some experience. We are going to have no experience in the post next year unless Fran goes portal again. Not saying we need a lot of minutes for them but 3-5 a game seems doable. Its incredibly simple.
This rebuilding season would be acceptable if the young guys were gaining experience and improving but instead we get JBo playing the majority of every game and accomplishing nothing.
Are you sure it was a shot? Ok that's a stretch, but it turned out like a pass and it did turn out our way. Unfortunately we didn't capitalize on our good fortune.JBo's air ball pass at the end of regulation was clutch!
Never got a chance. Jbo mccaffery given the worldWatch the game again, with your eyes glued on JT, and see how many mistakes he makes.
