Jimmy Sullivan, 2025 QB, commits to the Hawks

Snail GIF by MotoGP

This was actually Kirk's favorite QB in camp.

His game tape is better than many high school QBs I've watched. It was nice to see him hit crossing routes and outs, then use his legs when appropriate, instead of the typical deep balls that dominate most of the QB videos.

This was during his Dec 9 visit to Illinois.

Bert appears to have lost some weight. Looks like he just got out of the shower. Probably should have put some shoes and socks on.

says something very positive about the iowa program that he committed to us despite not having an oc in place over offers from b1g teams that do.
“Not BF” is a pretty darn good B1G OC.😊

2025 football season is a long ways away. You commit this early and you’re taking a chance that the coaches will be different when you get to camp, anyway.

Kids got a rocket launcher for an arm and runs a 4.5, sounds good.
Kid has got an OK arm...his foot work is a problem...throws off his back foot a bit and off balance...but looks like he is working on it with someone....when he has time he almost over-emphasizes the step in...that's a good sign

From the highlights...seems like he is a natural runner with very good vision...he'll learn how to slide

You would think the new OC would want some input on who we are recruiting at QB, but quite honestly our QB's get worse the longer they are in the program! Without a major change in philosophy to our offense, I don't see that changing.

Somebody should send him this thread so that he can see the light and change his mind about coming here.

The hate was never really about Brian was it.
Under the Ferentz family, the offense has pretty much always about limiting mistakes, get field position, and have shorter scoring drives.

You can change players, but the philosophy doesn't waver.

I was just about to say; great another pro style statue QB.

Then I saw his speed :)

Labas was pretty fast. Doesn't matter much if you don't incorporate some type of QB run option into your offense and highly discourage QB from taking off even in scramble situation.

No, he has a very strong arm, you don’t know why you are looking at dipshit, or just a liar

It’s not that he doesn’t have a strong arm in fact the deep ball looks to be very good but his mechanics are off and I agree he appears to be throwing off balance and not stepping into his throws properly. Nothing that can’t be fixed but he’s got some areas to work on certainly.

Well sir the good news is at Iowa we work on QB fundamentals and throwing mechanics pretty aggressively.

Wait nevermind Nate Stanley said the exact opposite when he was at the combine.......

I’d say Kirk would be retired prior to Jimmy finishing his career at Iowa. 2030 probably before the kid would be done.

The goal for every offense in the country is to limit mistakes, get good field position and to have a shorter field for scoring drives dumbass.

this is like criticizing an offense in basketball for taking high percentage shots, it’s a basic fundamental.
