The Twitter Haters don't seem as nice as the Hawkeye Report haters.
Some people use it as fuel for the fire - I get the feeling JBo is that kind of player. You just have to remember if you give it out some times you have to take it too.i have to agree
i keep hearing that the players are tuning out the outside noise; this sounds like the exact opposite.
remember last year when he was complaining on Twitter about what he got in his NCAA Tournament player welcome package? He even did interviews concerning it.
Only when it is called for and no not quite that bad. Great contribution per usual though!A lot of those tweets sound just like OP on the off topic board.
Wow and you at me too but directly and in a public forum. Wow. Feel free to hit me up on the OT anytime if you have anything of substance otherwise contribute to the thread or don't post.Wow, kinda like some of the same stuff OP has said to me over the last year.
Another way to look at it- It's bigger than Iowa basketball. I think athletes should step forward and get some of these trolls fired, or kicked out of school, or reprimanded. It might slow some of this crap down. While I agree it's a small percentage of the overall fanbase, it's getting ridiculous. This is the kind of crap that Jbo does that annoys me. Just focus on the games right now. Enough with the social media distractions.
Not to say that he's not completely right that some of these idiots deserve to be called out.
I just want the story to be about how great the team -- including Bohannon -- is playing. Not about how Bohannon is taking down Internet trolls.
Oh please Mr. Innocent routine is tired...Wow and you at me too but directly and in a public forum. Wow. Feel free to hit me up on the OT anytime if you have anything of substance otherwise contribute to the thread or don't post.
Lots of peeps from other teams and areas in country in these too but yes ones from our own "fans" are despicable.Another way to look at it- It's bigger than Iowa basketball. Now that's funny! And from Dan Dakich. What an idiot!
I didn't claim of being and this isn't an accurate comparison but enough wasting of time. @ me anytime on the OT, please contribute to the topic at hand here or please run along.Oh please Mr. Innocent routine is tired...
I cannot stand that sob. Been great having him off ESPN this past season. Now that's funny! And from Dan Dakich. What an idiot!
Are you kidding? Chis hasn’t come close to the level of illiteracy demonstrated in those tweets.A lot of those tweets sound just like OP on the off topic board.
Dikish still around 🤦♂️
I've said this before as well. Just stay off this shit for the next two weeks. For christ's sake.....This is the kind of crap that Jbo does that annoys me. Just focus on the games right now. Enough with the social media distractions.

Super. A cause for Jbo to take up. In fricken April sometime.....
Exactly. This is one of the reasons I’m not a huge fan of his. He’s basically doing the same thing they are doing to him. Gotta be able to get over it and move on. Not everyone is gonna kiss his behind in the real world.Yes, they should.
But the last few times we've played in the NCAA tournament, JBo has spent a lot of time the week of the tourney talking about internet trolls, talking about the NCAA, and talking about NIL. And every time, we've gone home early. Direct correlation? Hard to know.
I'd rather he do his talking on the court.
Uh, did you read the messages he posted? Those were terrible and the senders should be exposed.Exactly. This is one of the reasons I’m not a huge fan of his. He’s basically doing the same thing they are doing to him. Gotta be able to get over it and move on. Not everyone is gonna kiss his behind in the real world.
Now it's relevant. Won't matter as much in April.Super. A cause for Jbo to take up. In fricken April sometime.....![]()
The truth is that very few people really tune out the outside noise. Even in the day before social media, it's very likely players read what was said about them in the newspaper or on TV. It's about how you handle and process that. Good coaches recognize that their team is probably aware of what is being said about them, and act accordingly. If I'm Fran, my team doesn't need me telling them how great they are this week. The rest of the world is certainly doing that. But Fran doesn't need my advice with this team, he could give a giant middle finger to every nay-sayer this year, and be totally justified doing so.i have to agree

I'm sure. I'd just like to think his head is 200% on the game Thursday and not what some piece of shit sends him on social media. This is THE guy who stood at the interview yesterday and said, "were tuning out all the outside noise", "its about us". Yesterday. Now it's relevant. Won't matter as much in April.
This is the only way to hold these dipshits accountable. Ignoring it doesn't make it go away. This is the kind of crap that Jbo does that annoys me. Just focus on the games right now. Enough with the social media distractions.

This is a great story. 😂It was much harder back in the day.
Took me 5 hours and 10 phone calls to get Ed Hortons address, then another 20 minutes to write a letter, and another 40 to buy a stamp and mail it.
A number of days later he got his mail and was totally admonished about his lack of focus at the FT line the week before.
JBo's time would be better spent thinking about upcoming games. It's one thing to have an opinion but it's asinine to message an Iowa athlete directly with that trash. I hope JoBo calls them all out.
What? LOL wow, not even remotely close. He’s basically doing the same thing they are doing to him.
I think they’re sending him private messages. Which is even worse. In my opinion.@Chishawk1425 ..I don't have a Twitter account. Q: didn't these jerks already out themselves when they posted to his twitter account?
Correct, they areI think they’re sending him private messages. Which is even worse. In my opinion.
There is value in that approach, I think. But IMO one should be proactive when it comes to personal threats or highly offensive language. I would but I don't use Twitter so to each his own; I'm not going to fault JBO for exposing that garbage. If you're on the net for any length of time, you are bound to connect to the worst of us. They love trying to bait you into a pissing match but hate it if you ignore them!
Not saying the things they said were acceptable but he’s basically just engaging with them. Get over it. I played sports in high school and heard a lot of stuff that was not acceptable and I got over it. Actually laughed most of it off.Uh, did you read the messages he posted? Those were terrible and the senders should be exposed.
I don’t have a problem with what JBO is doing. I’m more surprised that in this day and age people are stupid enough to send crap like that out with their names attached.Only when it is called for and no not quite that bad. Great contribution per usual though!
