Who are you to decide that? He's fine. Leave him be. It's the day after he won the BIG 10 title after all!JBo's time would be better spent thinking about upcoming games.

Agree!I don’t have a problem with what JBO is doing. I’m more surprised that in this day and age people are stupid enough to send crap like that out with their names attached.
Who are you to decide who he is to give his opinion?Who are you to decide that? He's fine. Leave him be. It's the day after he won the BIG 10 title after all!
Exactly. This is one of the reasons I’m not a huge fan of his. He’s basically doing the same thing they are doing to him. Gotta be able to get over it and move on. Not everyone is gonna kiss his behind in the real world.
100% thisNot even remotely the same. Jordan is reposting messages that were sent to him. There is a major difference between telling someone to kill themselves as was posted and not kissing someone’s ass. You can complain about the timing as has been said I’m this thread, but do not compare the trash messages he received to him reposting them. Those who sent the messages in the first place dug their own holes.
Yes, it's spring break at Iowa, he has all the time in the world this week.No issue with calling idiots out, and it seems like he can take it as well as dish it out. And anyone saying he should be dialed in on the next game I hope you also spend all of your free time focused on your "work." Lawrence Welk reruns aren't aired 24 hours a day so Jordan has a few spare hours between practice and lights out at 5 pm.
So don't read this thread. This is the kind of crap people are sick of JBO. JBO fatigue.
Thats a ridiculous analogy. Whats in front of the TEAM, not Jbo alone, is something they've all dreamed about since they started playing basketball as little kids. They have a real shot to do something that Iowa hasn't done in almost half a century, and they may not have another chance in their lifetimes. This is not the mundane of daily work. Its not practice we're talking about here. And what he does now as a leader can most certainly have an effect on his team mates, coaches, etc...I'm sorry that you don't agree that maybe for once he could put these things aside for his team. As I said, he's THE guy who stood there yesterday and said the players weren't listening to any of the outside noise or detractors. Maybe he should follow his own advise and statement....No issue with calling idiots out, and it seems like he can take it as well as dish it out. I disagree. Bohannon has a platform and the right to use it.This is the kind of crap people are sick of JBO. JBO fatigue.
Exactly. Its always got to be about HIM, and now is not the damn time. Be a leader and lead. Take these kids somewhere no one believed they could go. let that be your legacy.....I always cheer for JBO on the court. Off the court I have never heard good things about him. Very self serving and instigates crap. I would hope he would just enjoy his clutch play from this last week and the championship with his team. Last year he spent the first week of Madness doing interviews and talking trash only to lay a giant turd vs Oregon. Some on here say he should wait until after the tournament to do this. When Iowa loses he likely loses his high seat he is sitting on right now so no in his best interest he needs to get this childish crap over with when it's convenient for him now.
It's a game played by young adults. And that's what it should always be. Let's not make it into a life defining thing.Thats a ridiculous analogy. On one hand, I agree. It's not just about him, however, another way to think about it is that he IS leading. He's calling people out and being a voice for players in the new age of social media.Exactly. Its always got to be about HIM, and now is not the damn time. Be a leader and lead. Take these kids somewhere no one believed they could go. let that be your legacy.....
So overt censorship to prevent hurt feelings? I agree that it's disagreeable behavior and they say incredibly mean shit behind the veil of internet anonymity. No one on this board probably understands that better than me.Another way to look at it- It's bigger than Iowa basketball. I think athletes should step forward and get some of these trolls fired, or kicked out of school, or reprimanded. It might slow some of this crap down. While I agree it's a small percentage of the overall fanbase, it's getting ridiculous.

But the whole country needs to fight the censorship urge, and its being pushed hard right now. Let people sort this out themselves, at least that keeps the locals civil.
Who are you to decide who he is to give his opinion?
Considering you can no longer email his coach I’d say many Iowa fans let him know what’s up.
it doesn’t annoy me. He should call it out. He can handle it but there are many who can’t. He has every right to call this idiots out. I hope they all lose their jobs. This is the kind of crap that Jbo does that annoys me. Just focus on the games right now. Enough with the social media distractions.
Not to say that he's not completely right that some of these idiots deserve to be called out.
I just want the story to be about how great the team -- including Bohannon -- is playing. Not about how Bohannon is taking down Internet trolls.
He’s only sorry because he was outed and most likely will lose his scholarship over it. Who uses that kind of language. That’s not getting carried away that’s insane.Messages I received from the d3 baseball player Tyler Jones on instagram "Aye man I’m sorry I wasn’t thinking when I sent that dm to Jordan I was acting totally outta hand for a stupid game. I sent Jordan a sincere apology and I hope that you guys and that some fans can forgive me in not one of my brightest moments. Sorry again"
My responses "Be good to yourself and don't get caught up in this moment. Mental health is #1."
"I’ll try to man it’ll be tough tho I feel like the shittiest man on earth rn especially because I’m really not an asshole like that honestly man I’m a loyal and hardworking guy, I treat people the way they should it’s just I don’t think sometimes before I do shit man 😭 but imma learn from it, and be better because of it, I’m just really sorry to everyone who saw that Iowa fans, especially Jordan man I wish he’d respond to my message"
I’m pretty sure he’s focused on the Tournament. Many players of ALL teams are active on social media, not just Jordan. Whether you like Jordan or not he’s taken a beating by fans including some Iowa fans. These responses to Jordan just like those in the past are an indictment on the haters rather than Jordan. You'd think he'd have more important things going in right now. Not a good sign.
I missed the part where Jordan is reaching out to people telling them “ he’d wish they f**king die.Exactly. This is one of the reasons I’m not a huge fan of his. He’s basically doing the same thing they are doing to him. Gotta be able to get over it and move on. Not everyone is gonna kiss his behind in the real world.
MeWho are you to question WildTurk on deciding who Chewback is to decide that JBo's time would be better spent thinking about upcoming games!?!

All the kid has done is score 2k points, set Iowa assist record and BIG10 3’s made but go ahead and hate.

How was that JBO fatigue Saturday after he made the 3 to win? I’m guessing not to many people were hating him then. Does he do some things I wouldn’t, yes but I’m not his coach or teammates who love him and don’t seem to mind. The fatigue is the small portion of the fan base hating on a kid that has hit more big shots for Iowa than anyone. This program is much better due to his time at Iowa. This is the kind of crap people are sick of JBO. JBO fatigue.
Need to tolerate them too, sadly. It's like flag burners. ****ing hate 'em but I have to tolerate their speech because they have to tolerate mine. It’s not censorship. It’s call being a complete asshole.
