Jok at end of games. My god

Not good at the end of games with Jok. Combine that with a coach that's not good at the end of games. Is it all on Jok, is part of it Fran? Or do they both combine to make end of the games bad. Fran's coaching today was a joke. Playing around with lineups at the 6 minute mark is sad at this point in the season. You need to play your 5 guys at the end of the game. If you don't know who that is at this point in the year then you need to get out of coaching. Not saying Fran needs to be fired but it's a pretty big indictment on Fran that he doesn't know what lineup he wants out there at the end of games if you ask me. Deep rotations, poor sets, timeout usage, soft teams and no real players that can create their own shots are a big reason Fran is awful in close games.

This to many fricking players getting minutes.

Jok is a great player... That being said, as a senior he does take a lot of shots or moves that make you shake your head ... I admire Jok. He has talent. Has contributed a lot to the program ... I'm not convinced he makes the others players around him better ...

Don't feel like blaming Jok for this loss, or anyone else for that matter. The entire team had opportunities to get us over the hump in this game and couldn't get it done this time.

Jok is just not good enough dribbling to penetrate in all the bigs. We move the ball better without him in the lineup. Great step up shooter but can't take someone to the basket and shoot over them. I agree we should not be playing10-12 guys this late in the season. Fran subs ways to much.

No he does not make his teammates better, allot of scorers dont.

I got attacked for saying it before the season but its pretty obvious.

The right kids are playing. I think it's time to go back to our old starting lineup, though. Four games in a row in which we get behind early.

Played a really bad team today.
Right now , I think we are playing against our own reflection and not really the other team. We just continue with same old stuff: terrible defense, poor rebounding, bad coaching especially end game, bad substitution and a few bad calls. This team is in a funk right now and could pretty easily lose the rest of their games. We had a week to work on some of this stuff and nothing chnanged

Wait until Fran has to find time for his kid to play. His rotations now are a **** show.
It will be interesting for sure. Conner's not even here yet, and were already getting the Fran's kids posts. Who'd have figured. Any wonder why Patrick hasn't officially committed yet?

Now some posters want a new starting lineup. Who is the starting lineup supposed to be?

Lack of player development and talent. Baer, Ellingson, Williams, Uhl, and Moss combined 6-25. Outside of Bohannon, we have no guard play and his inability to drive it against quicker guards = no dribble penetration and guys jacking up bad shots.

I get the criticisms of Jok, but what has Fran done to get some help around him? Our guards are bad, period. You can sugar coat this if you like, but Fran needs a couple spots to open up and to fill them with guards who can actually create and score.

Another late season collapse on the way. Would be shocked if this team wins another gam. Tired legs, bad officiating, etc., are convenient excuses. Guard play on this team is dreadful and that is on Fran.

I like the fact that we actually have some guys that are willing to shoot on this team, but I was a bit dismayed today about Baer's choices on his 3's, which were mostly really quick shots where he didn't seem to be set and ready to shoot. He and most on this team aren't capable of making those shots. Uhl won't take a wide open shot, and Williams is incapable of making one.

I like Moss a lot, but he disappears on the floor and/or sits on the bench for far too long, and Ellingson couldn't get open. Illinois guard play on defense was really good I thought, probably why they won this game.

Great shooter. Has been getting more rebounds. Also some nice assist games.
Has only been able to improve to the point where his handles are just not good, instead of the complete disaster they were to start his career.

I'd agree on Baer. He seems to have gone from utility, do everything energy guy, to option number two from deep. It looks like he's rushing and hunting those bombs a little to much. Have to agree though thats better than Uhl and Williams who are hesitant to take an open shot. "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take". The one time Williams forced up that bad three, it was hurried, and not in the flow, and he got the quick hook.

I think the worst part about too many players, is that they look confused on defense as to who is doing what. All the time!
