I just wanted to start an appreciation thread for Jordan as he's a senior and will unfortunately be out of most of our minds before too long. I sure hope he's back on the field because not only do we need him, but he deserves to go out on top. It sure has been nice to see him have success individually and as a team his senior year.

I'm sure many can agree with the Jordan the football player appreciation, but this thread is more importantly about the character he embodies. I've seen him on several interviews both local or regional and national and he always is very well spoken for and leads by the faith that he has inside of him. I've also read and seen several pieces about how Jordan has been a part of the leadership team in giving back to his community. He has such a genuine smile that it has to be infectious to the team and those that he interacts with. I was touched most recently by the article on Hawkcentral for a tribute to this weeks Kid Captain, Lincoln Ortman. Props to all the Hawkeye players that attended to support this kids cause, but notably to Jordan for this is at least his second appearance to visit with kids this week. Jordan you will be missed!

That was at my kids school yesterday. It was a pretty cool day for Lincoln and the whole school.

Thanks for the great memories hope you can see some more time on the field!

Not sure if he will be back by Black Friday, but we haven't seen the last of Mr. Canzeri. I predict he rushes for over 100 in our post season game...doesn't matter who we draw.

Jordan Canzeri and the kids like him are why we love the Hawkeyes. When Iowa wins, we know it's being done with a lot of young men of character. And when Iowa loses, we know the same thing. I still have plenty of issues with the coaching staff's approach to football, but I always appreciate the fact that Iowa is a program with character, and the modern version of that started with Hayden Fry.

Jordan has the courage of his convictions, as does Matt VandeBerg and many of their teammates. In this era of "me" and "greed," an era in which the egomaniacal multibillionaire Donald Trump is taken seriously as a presidential candidate, these kids stand out like a cornfield in a desert.

May Jordan and his teammates continue to prove that nice guys finish first.

Listening to Hawk Talk the other day it seemed as though Canzeri may be very close to getting back out there, but the staff learned a bit from trying to get Daniels back out there too soon and will keep Canzeri out a bit longer.

I've been a fan of Jordan's since watching his HS highlight films when he was being recruited. Unfortunately, he was hobbled for most of his Hawkeye career; and then just when he was finally back to full speed and showing us all what he's capable of - he gets injured again as a Senior. Hope to see him on the field in Black & Gold again...

A great Hawkeye, and a fine young man!

I'll never forget the 4th quarter he had against Illinois where he willed Iowa to a go-ahead score with 11 or 12 consecutive runs. I don't think I have ever seen that from an Iowa back. Canzeri kind of set the tone for the rest of the season with that performance ....and 43 carries! That record might stand for awhile.

Looking forward to his return, hopefully soon.
