Josh O./Ulis to the portal

to bad none of you know what he was going thru, its called long term covid. its something you never get over.
maybe some of you need to come down it, then you will understand what he s going thru and then STFU.
Too many pronouns. Who supposedly has Long Covid? Long Covid would certainly explain why Josh O cannot get in shape. Indeed, basketball and generally running and working out could have killed him. I know the Hawks have shitty luck but Long Covid is an extremely low probability occurrence. Didn't we lose a football player to Long Covid as well?

Classic, doesn’t know how to capitalize until STFU is typed.

If ‘some’ decided not to release the ‘long COVID’ situation they did a disservice to Josh. By not releasing it they opened the door for the ‘lazy’ narrative to flourish.

They can’t disclose without permission from patient. Hippa

the university cannot release any medical information unless the person wants to have it released.

I have long covid and its a real pain, 2 years later and I still have trouble at times getting up in the mornings. plus other things.

I can imagine what he is going thru.
I had Covid, it was not the real long type but my rear end was dragging for six months. It was a fatigue that would not go away.

Each person is different, but for most, taking an anti-viral like Paxlovid, within a few days of testing positive, helps speed recovery and lessons symptoms.

What an idiotic take. People criticize a player whose situation they don’t understand and it’s the player’s fault for trying maintain some semblance of privacy?

GTFO with that garbage.

I missed where it was indicated that it was Josh wanting to keep it private. If that is the case then Josh will just need to deal with the people criticizing him and thinking he's lazy and doesn't care.
My apologies for not posting up to your heightened level. I will study your methods and hopefully someday I can replicate the classy posts containing name calling and the wonderful GTFO response. You keep doing you

You remind me of the small town old ladies who gossip about situations they know nothing about and then when they’re called on it say, “Well if they don’t want people to speculate they should tell everyone what’s going on!”

Pathetic.

You may want to reread my posts on the subject. I haven't gossiped. My only point was that if the cause is kept private others will criticize his effort and results.
If I had a legit health issue that was impacting my career like that I would want the information known. To each their own on that matter.

Try some decaf?

What if it was embarrassing like bleeding hemorrhoids and a bad case of ED?

We didn't hear about PMac's situation until it got to the point where he couldn't even play. Most people aren't going to provide medical information to the general public until it becomes obvious. Sure people are going to talk, but it doesn't matter, people will talk even after providing the information. There are plenty of a-holes on the Internet that will be critical no matter what.

He was in such good shape when he showed up, pretty clear his downfall was getting ravaged by long covid.
Covid could easily have been his downfall. Just like when an old person falls and breaks their hip and then dies. Sure they were old, but their downfall was the fact they broke their hip.

HIPAA regulations would be the most likely reason why the university or coaches did not disclose Josh's medical issues. I do agree that many have assumed he is just lazy, when that is probably not the case.

don't work for the University, never have and never will. in my lifetime I have coached these
Pop Warner
Little League
Girls HS BB
HS FB
AAU BB
Womens semi-pro softball
taught bowling

each sport has its own quirks. I know about Josh thru my AAU connections. there is a world of information out there, you just need to know how to access it

to bad some can't or won't accept the fact that somebody can have that type information that they don't.

So is he hoping that transferring to another school where he's wishing to get more playing time will help with his medical situation?

Well shoot, I must be one of the first people to have gotten covid.
I’ve been having troubles getting up in the morning for years now. Doesn’t matter how much rest I get. Hope this doesn’t continue the rest of my life.

I think you are probably just lazy. It’s a characteristic not illness.
