Josh Ogundele

Robbins uncle, Ed Conroy, is an assistant coach at Minnesota. One of the main reasons he went there

It's not only the reason he went to Minnesota, it is the reason he transferred in the first place. There were never any other options.

Just my two-cents but from watching a few of his highlight clips and his limited game action, he is pretty agile for a guy his size and has good feet. Not saying he could come in and play impactful minutes, but he is a big load and has been going up against a NPOY candidate in practice. Worst case he can occupy some space and rebound if needed in spot duty. Being a lefty never hurts as that is unorthodox to defend.

The little we have seen of the big fella this year he is a long, long way from being a Big 10 level player. I would be surprised if he is in the rotation next year. But a lot can happen between now and then. It's why a grad transfer big man would be a really good option for this team next year.

Careful, you are treading close to Dolph territory there.. don't need you to get suspended for a few games
Not if you're Nike...

Seems highly unlikely we see him on the floor again this year unless at the end of a blowout.
He just wasn't even close to being in the kind of physical shape necessary for b1g ball. Hopefully the rumors cited are true and he's dropping some weight overall and gaining muscle mass. For him this year is essentially a freebie to get ready for next season.

There will be a couple more blow outs, we might see the Big Boy.

Fran doesn't recruit Chumps, or so I'm told, so book it the kid can play and contribute next year (some sarcasm, some not, we shall see how it plays out)

It kind of sucks that he came in out of shape or his time against Garza in practice would have been more beneficial. I have noticed that he is pretty hype on the bench when we’re hitting big shots, which is great.

Especially given all the returning players I wasn't expecting much from him this year, he was very delayed getting to campus due to the pandemic. Then, once Garza made it official, you knew his minutes would be almost zero once the season kicked into high gear.

I would assume he'll backup Nunge next year and get 15 min/gm or so.

My guess, he plays a lot next season. Unless we get a big transfer, he's going to have to play. If we do get a big transfer, you have to wonder if he might transfer himself. They'll get him down to a playable weight and he will be in the rotation.

Based on the known roster the logical conclusion is Josh O needs to be ready for regular playing time. We are going to see some strange rotations next year.

He'll still have 4 years left, a transfer would probably only have a couple at most.

Meaning he would still potentially have 2 years as a starter.

If you're not good enough to play at that point then its best to transfer.

He didn't look real interested in cutting off the drivers, was kind of hoping to see a little defense from him.

No but my guess is this is still a lot for him to digest and how hard you have to play at this level. My guess is he hasn't seen this level of basketball ever before. He has signs of being a solid contributor but I think that's still 2 years away. If he puts in the work and gets his body into better shape that will be huge for him. If I was him I would be all over Frank and Luka to help train you, I highly doubt he will ever have the outside shooting of Luka but if they could help develop and inside game he could be like Williams from Purdue.

Noticed that he backed off a little too but I wonder when you're up 40 at the time and the clock is under 1 1/2 minutes maybe orders were not to extend the game and put them at the line. He runs the floor pretty well and has the frame to mix it up down low in the BIG. Just wish he could have seen more PT this year to slow the game down for him if he was needed down the stretch. Looks like the rest of the team enjoyed what they saw.
