These guys are why the hawks win tonight. All three stepped up as well as anyone could have imagined. Great job you three!!
I posted almost the same thing![]()
Hand in the cookie jar! Again!Don’t forget RK! Bench won the game tonight.
Joe T played like a freshman. 3 assists, but 3 TOs and a couple more boneheaded plays. I think he will grow into a better player, hopefully by next year, by learning to play with pace instead of going full speed all the time. He could be a killer offensive player if he learns that.Which is why it's stupid to rag on individual players. Bakari and Pemsl gave big minutes off the bench.
Joe T played under control and shot well. No freshman fade for him.
Role players stepped up tonight. Great team win.

I think it is more like the Grand Canyon between Lester and Smith.Yes, I agree. There's a fine line between Ronnie Lester and Kevin Smith. The point is he is still competing. Freshmen mistakes are to be expected.

This was a complete team win. Except for rebounding and foul shooting, and maybe Weesy's outside shot, which will be back, a great game on both ends.
It will be a lot of fun to watch Joe T and Ulis at the point the next several years. JBo can play off the ball next season and do what he does best...He played like a freshman in the second half, but the first eight minutes or so he was a force. He was probably the biggest reason Iowa shot out to a double digit lead, hitting big shots, forcing turnovers, and just hounding Ohio State's perimeter players. Pure energy to start the game. Once he gets enough experience and is able to play that way for a whole game, maybe next year, look out for Joe T.!!!
