Juan Harris-Decommits yet again

Probably wants to get out of Iowa.

As we all know Kirk and Co want players that WANT to be Hawkeyes. I'm sure this is the last straw.

Best thing to happen to Hawks - not gonna workout long term and definitely counterproductive to a great culture! Hopefully things workout for Juan!

I respect the fact that picking a school is a difficult choice. With that said, I think this song and dance with Mr. Harris has surpassed ridiculous.

This reminds me of the kid who can't pick a prom date because he keeps looking for a hotter chick to take. Time to move on methinks.

If it's so hard to choose, then wait before saying anything, I'd say.

Better he gets it right. If Iowa's not the place for him, then ok, all the best to him.

So you're saying Ferentz and staff had enough and told him to kick rocks? Any source or proof? I'm just curious. I wouldn't doubt it.
It's being talked about on other boards. I haven't seen anything that's 100% proof though. Wouldn't be surprising.

Well given the fact he has openly talked crap to other Iowa recruits, Kallenberger, Eno and AJ, attended another schools camp I wouldn't be surprised at all if they told him he should look elsewhere or at least said he isn't considered a commit right now because of his actions. He also didn't have a great junior season and have a feeling he is probably closer to 400.

I heard about the trash talking but what was it about? Any idea the context?

Why in the world would he be trash talking other recruits, sounds like he may have some mental issues going on

Three times from the same school has got to be one for the records book, right?
Insecure. Nobody is talking about him. Only when he decommits for a record breaking third time. Better gone so he doesn't cause a cancer in the locker room.

I can't remember what he was saying to Kallenberger but its something about his ability.
I don't know what he said to AJ and Eno but he soon took it off of twitter and made his account private. He also sent out a tweet apologizing to them and saying he was sorry he took out his "angry" on them.

Yeah, I heard he was saying some pretty shady things to other recruits on twitter or whatever too. It would make sense if he was told to find another school.

I actually posted about his weight months ago because when I first saw it I assumed it was an error. I was pretty surprised when everyone confirmed that his weight was indeed close to 400 lbs. I remember Gilbert Brown for the Packers. That guy was freaking huge but I don't believe when he was playing that he was ever more than 350 lbs. For a kid to weight that much in high school, good lord.

C'ya. Go be a diva somewhere else. Iowa will be just fine in the next couple of years with or without you so no real loss.

IMO only it started when he only threw the shot put 41 feet at the state track meet.
The staff had to look at that and say wow..
A future D1 Lineman should be able to stand and power throw 51-55 feet and at least get in to finals but it looks like to me he has some issues.

Juan seemed to create a rift amongst recruits in their group chat. Calling out the o-lineman saying they suck and what not. Also he was not happy that AJ/Eno get a lot of the attention on twitter and cause of their recruiting rank supposedly

Seems like he really wants to be respected but he doesn't seem to understand that it's a character issue that is preventing him from getting the respect he desperately wants. Rather than fix the issue, he just doubles down on the behavior that is causing him the trouble in the first place. Sucks for him that he doesn't have someone in his life to help him make better decisions.

I don't think the kid will develop into a stud DT. Had that feeling since the gift go. As has been stated 400 elbows is rediculous. I don't think he would've last 2 seconds w Doyle. Sad but the kid has quitter written all over him. Iowa will survive. Next!
