June 15th Calls?

Not knocking anyone on here, but my guess is you won't be getting any other information than already discussed. The staff is pretty secretive. Usually you don't get anything until media types start asking wrestlers directly and they announce their top 5's and interested squads.
Willie should know, however, most likely protecting his sources.

NCAA rules are pretty stupid. (we all know that).

but the reason there is so much 'secrecy' around targets is (and i talked about it on the show here), is because coaches are forbidden to discuss recruits in any form or fashion.

so the coaches aren't gonna say anything on the record and the people they DO talk to (like me) aren't going to reveal much b/c of trust.

Willie, it's difficult for me to use the words "trust" and "smalls103" in the same sentence, but I think you have a very good point here. Anything we can do to protect recruits from undue influence is probably a good thing.

If I could turn every great recruit in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or New Jersey into a Hawkeye, I probably would, and that would not be such a good thing for the sport. So keeping targets secret is essential. I do hope that Tan Tom and Carl see it that way, too.

We need to learn lessons about early commits. Whichever 2024 recruit commits next week (if they actually follow thru) doesn't mean much until they're in whichever building they end up at.

i think this (growing) sentiment is overblown. yes, kids flip. but it's mathematically very rare.

Joe sealy article on flo says he is taking his time on deciding a school. Says he is looking at 8 right now and probably won’t do anymore narrowing til after worlds. Looks to go 165 in college and 74kg for international.
