Potential second round match-ups: 60kg: Glynn vs. Gross, 74kg Gunther vs. Massa.

Quarterfinal - Gavin Teasdale (Young Guns/OTC) won by tech fall over Peter Del Gallo (Maine Trappers) (TF 16-6)

Darn was hoping to see his rematch with Fix. Next time. Anyone have notes on how he lost the match?
I think 4 of Assad's 6 points came via push out. He looked to be quite a bit bigger and kept getting under hooks and forcing Teasdale out.

deja vu...

Nolf comes from behind and wins it with 1 second left

and now Vincenzo comes from down by 8 to win with 1 second left

My goodness is Valencia a gasser. The kid is on a different level from everyone else for the first minute of the match, and then gasses out hard. The same way Andrew Alton used to

I predict a Penn State win. You are welcome.

I'll go one step farther and call Nolf, FTW. Him and Cenzo are similar, but I see Nolf as a slightly better version. It will be interesting to see if he gets "out freestyled" by Hall, because on their feet I don't think it's that close

I'll be curious to see if Cenzo is much stronger than Nolf. Looks like he might be.

Edit: Nope, Joseph is stronger but not enough to overcome Nolf's quickness.

Teasdale beat Brandon Courtney 8-2. Another good win for the future Hawk.
Teasdale is going to be a least a two time or three time NCAA champ. You guys are set for your lower weights for the next six to seven years.

No doubt a lot can happen in a 4-year career, but it's hard to imagine Hall doing anything but win 4 national titles. That's starting to sound a lot like stating the obvious about now, I suppose.

Will be fun to root for him as a representative of the USA.

Mark Hall just teched NCAA runner up Jason Nolf 10-0 in about 5:00. Wow
That's why I keep saying a Hall redshirt is 90% certain. Results like that are why I don't make it 100%. Bo Nickal looked a little bigger today than he did in March, so maybe he's heading to 184 sooner than we think so Hall can slot into 174. I think that occurring is less than 50/50, but stranger things have happened.

Dominant 8-2 win by Zahid Valencia over NCAA runner-up Bo Nickal. Zahid has dominated both the reigning champ (Myles Martin) and the runner-up on multiple matches. Arizona St has a good one.

You keep forgetting about 60/40.
And what about 10%?

Net new murderers row: Zain, Nolf, Joseph, Hall, Nickal. Not too shabby.
