I saw the trailer for the first time today and I had one question. What insurance company would have underwritten that disaster of a theme park? 20 years ago dinosaurs munched on people left and right. Seems like a risky bet that it wouldn't happen again.

If you're able to afford to create, house, feed, and provide care for dinosaurs, then I think you can self insure. Besides, even if the events of 20 years ago didn't happen, do you think an insurance company would underwrite anyway?

Insurance company number crunchers are very very very good at making a profit for their companies.

Jurassic Park and Jurassic World were both privately financed, but to engage in commerce I believe they must have insurance. Maybe the laws for small islands off the coast of Central America are different, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a requirement for catastrophic loss.
I'd never visit despite the banner, "20 years guest being eaten free"!
