Agreed, Alabama's backups would start for most teams. Scheduling in the SEC helps as well. With the November cupcakes each team plays, it means they get two bye weeks to get guys healthy.

You don't realize that I've already won whatever this game is that you think we're playing and for one simple reason.....

I'm doing one of two things here:
-Either I'm getting you to do something you hate, and quite often btw, by attempting to defend the legitimacy of Alabama's national title run this year on a f***ing Iowa message board amongst Iowa fans.
- Or you're lying, and by arguing with me you've shown everyone what a closet Bama fan you are.

Either way, I win on that alone.

You digging deep into the stats and the "facts" and the "I'll show you" attitude to try and prove to me, specifically that Alabama was the best team in college football.........that all lends back to me getting you to do something you ordinarily wouldn't do, if you weren't lying, which is defend a team that you hate "as much as the next person", I think you said at some point.

I already know that Alabama didn't even deserve the opportunity to play in the CFP, and that everything that happened after was merely an effect of that mistake. Those are the facts. I'm sure if you let a serial killer out of jail and gave him a gun and told him, "Don't break the law", nothing bad would happen, either.........

You can face the fact that you lost this "battle" before it ever even got started.

Why is a fan base (which I am part of) so obsessed with this? Bama didn't deserve it. They didn't win the conference. Who cares? It's over, the sun will come up today, cold but shining. The trophy won't look any different in thier case than the others.

People want to talk about the over signing as a big difference maker, but the biggest, imo, is the support staff. When you have former power five head coaches and coordinators whose sole responsibility is breaking down film, implementing game plans or recruiting, that's huge. How many other programs have a Steve Sarkesian or Chris Weinke breaking down film for them?!?! That University has put so much into facilities and staffing, it's crazy
