Apparently this altercation was with the S&C coach who has been there since Belein. The S&C coach was on Howard's son about his rehab schedule (he's been injured since October) and Jace missing some workouts. Juwan apparently snapped.Juwan Howard *possibly* involved in a physical altercation with someone that ticked him off .....
Never would have guessed that from him. I mean, just ask the Wisconsin coaching staff.
Juwan was mad for the S&C both doing his job AND looking out for his kid?Apparently this altercation was with the S&C coach who has been there since Belein. IF true, this is reason 10,000,000 on why maybe it's best if kids do not play for their fathers/mothers when they are head coaches.
(On a slightly separate note) the S&C coach has a son in the 2026 class who is a 5-star. It's been highly rumored that he will not play for Michigan (Iowa is recruiting him).
He definetly has anger management issues. And a hell of a chip on his shoulder. After he threatened to kill Tuergeon, and the deal with hands being thrown in the wisconsin game he was totally unapologetic, and was talking about how NO ONE disrespects you where I come from in the hood.Howard appears to be a hothead
Or Mark Turgeon.....Juwan Howard *possibly* involved in a physical altercation with someone that ticked him off .....
Never would have guessed that from him. I mean, just ask the Wisconsin coaching staff.
He's not currently the acting head coach--he had open heart surgery in the offseason and has slowly been coming back. Phil Martelli is the acting HC and Juwan is acting as an assistant currently. It's a weird setup and looks weird seeing him on the bench basically just sitting on his hands--he has been even less active since their Thanksgiving MTE when he got tossed after arguing a call as an assistant.I honestly thought he was no longer coaching Michigan when I saw someone else coaching at the Iowa game.
Michigan is trending towards MSU status with how they are handling their head coaches for the flagship sports of bball and football. Win at all costs up there
We have a coach that matches thatHoward appears to be a hothead
Depends on if your talking zero in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. So if he’s under a zero tolerance policy wouldnt this basically mean he’s out as coach?
He’s never thrown hands at least. We have a coach that matches that
There's also a third incident where he had to be restrained from going after Mark Turgeon at the BTT and told Turgeon he was going to kill him and told him to meet him in the parking lot. He’s never thrown hands at least.
I can see Michigan giving him one second chance of the Wisconsin deal, but two?
I honestly thought he was no longer coaching Michigan when I saw someone else coaching at the Iowa game.
Not at MichiganSo if he’s under a zero tolerance policy wouldnt this basically mean he’s out as coach?
He had heart surgery and has been told not to coach. He's on the bench but Martelli is coaching the teamI noticed that too and it was very weird. Juwan was just sitting there doing nothing for parts of the 2nd half while the asst Martelli was directing things from the sideline, talking to players, calling plays
Playing us is good for his ticker. Stress free environment. He had heart surgery and has been told not to coach. He's on the bench but Martelli is coaching the team
Maybe it does not apply to in house stuff. So if he’s under a zero tolerance policy wouldnt this basically mean he’s out as coach?

What a b*tch! He definetly has anger management issues. And a hell of a chip on his shoulder. After he threatened to kill Tuergeon, and the deal with hands being thrown in the wisconsin game he was totally unapologetic, and was talking about how NO ONE disrespects you where I come from in the hood.
My $’s on Turgeon. There's also a third incident where he had to be restrained from going after Mark Turgeon at the BTT and told Turgeon he was going to kill him and told him to meet him in the parking lot.
But yep, totally the same as Fran yelling at refs that they are "F'n cheaters".
This is very depressing g for the rest of the B1G.Bottom line is one way or the other this will be Howard’s last season at Michigan… either he gets fired with cause for any altercations … or he gets fired because he sucks as a coach.
So if he’s under a zero tolerance policy wouldnt this basically mean he’s out as coach?
Dean Oliver was shown towards the end. Obviously looks like he was trying to keep the peace. He's under a 0-tolerance policy after hitting the Wisconsin assistant in Feb, 2022.
Here's video of that very ugly incident. Click on the "Watch on YouTube" link below.
Dang. Howard's days may be numbered there whether he punches someone or not. It seems like that whole thing is headed in the wrong direction.Michigan blew a sizable lead at home today to Rutgers, and lost in lackluster fashion; At the end they had no fire in them, and basically seemed to be playing out the last 2 minutes, waiting for the final buzzer.
Michigan is 7-15 overall, and 2-9 in conference play.
Howard might punch someone else if this continues.
Gard deserved a good slap. He teaches dirty play. **** that guy.Juwan Howard *possibly* involved in a physical altercation with someone that ticked him off .....
