Any news or thoughts on whether he will redshirt or compete this year? With Snyder redshirting, and with new faces in the PSU lineup, we could maybe use Kemerer's points to win a title.

Only thought is is you look at past history Tom Brands doesn't wrestle true freshman. Doesn't mean that cant change for right guy,right situation-- but typically he redshirts them.

I think we can win a NC this season without Kemerer, I feel pretty good about some nice points from Gilman/Clark/Grothus/Sorensen/Meyer/Brooks/Burak. I think Kemerer's points will be better served the next four years, allowing him to build into 157 or 149, whatever the plan is with TnT.

It was my impression that the only true freshman at all likely to start would have been Turk at 141. With Brody on the way down, that's no longer necessary. I don't see them pulling the shirt off of Kemerer, and I agree that we probably have the firepower in the lineup to win it all without him. That said, if we're not getting production at 157 by Midlands, Kemerer is tearing it up, including a great performance at Midlands, and it's looking like we might need his points to win it all, I wouldn't rule out a McIlravy-style pulling of the shirt in January. Unlikely, but I could see a scenario where it could happen.

He wrestled 152 all off season, so he may be closer then u think. Can't wait for this kid to be in the lineup, but I have a hard time believing he's whipping up on Cooper at this point.

For what it is worth, since the end of the high school season he has been wrestling 152 (Virginia Beach National Duals, Disney Duals) and that's where he was going to go for Fargo before he got sick.

During kemerers senior year his walking around weight was around 150 - 153. Wrestled 152 for team and lineup reasons. Since last season he has spent a good bit of time in the weight room. He is still growing (Dad is about 6 ft).

IMO, no question he can get to 157 this year. Question is whether or not he could get to full sized 157.

He has a ways to go to be a full size 157. I could see him at 149 next year with Brandon chasing IMART from 157
