I said awhile back Kemerer was giving Sorenson all he wanted in the room and many thought I was crazy. The kid is rolling through midlands and most in attendance think he's got a legit shot of beating Tsirtis.
Maruka is redshirting I think he's a better option then Kraus but they also have national qualifier Pagdilao there as well who's been out point being I wouldn't necessarily consider Maruka a back up to KrausIf I'm reading this correctly, he beat the ASU starter 8-3 while Sorenson beat the ASU backup 6-0.

Has to beat the #3 seed first.Wish him well.I said awhile back Kemerer was giving Sorenson all he wanted in the room and many thought I was crazy. The kid is rolling through midlands and most in attendance think he's got a legit shot of beating Tsirtis.
#3 seed hasn't looked good. He squeaked out a ot win over RU back up that Sorenson destroyed in the dual with RU. Look for Kemerer to bonus point Richardson.Has to beat the #3 seed first.Wish him well.

I'm going with Kemerer as well. Richardson is very good but not sure he's better than the 5-6 guys ranked right behind him. He placed 7th last year going 4-2 with wins over 3 unranked guys and #14 seed, had a 29-9 season record, he hasn't faced any ranked opponents this year and has won 3 of his 7 matches by 2 points or less. Will be a real test for Kemerer, but he's beatable.True story...I don't know about bonus points but I think Kemdawg gets the win and moves on to meet TShirt.
Be interesting to see what happens if / when Kem ends up under TShirt....Kemdawg is fun to watch. I am really happy he is a Hawkeye. He will need to create some angles against T shirt if he makes it that far.

Was hoping everyone got his last name spelled right for a change when I opened this thread. But.....should have known someone would put two m's in there and where are you from crab legs ?I don't know if anyone is claiming to move out Sorensen for Kemmerer. But I think Kemmerer would AA this year.
Don't disagree, but assume B.S. Gives him a taste.Well...Kem has not had the freshman blues yet underneath...He explodes out of there against whoever he wrestles. If he gets to that point, hope Brands has him go down for the learning experience.
Win the match. I hope that decision is based on putting him in the best position to win as opposed to a learning experience. Along with the practice room there are other matches/tournaments to learn in. If you have a chance to knock off a NC/2x AA as a true freshmen, do it. Besides it would go against the confidence building philosophy with the freshman tournaments he's been plowing through to decide now is the time to learn a lesson over giving him the best chance to win. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for taking knocks to learn/build for the future but in this particular case don't let lesson learning trump winning.Well...Kem has not had the freshman blues yet underneath...He explodes out of there against whoever he wrestles. It's not everyone else's fault "Kemmerer" misspells his own name. Was hoping everyone got his last name spelled right for a change when I opened this thread. But.....should have known someone would put two m's in there and where are you from crab legs ?
Couldn't agree more. After all, the best 'learning experience' is learning how to win high level matches.Win the match. Ha, I knew that was coming. He'd better save those for NCAAs as he quickly nearing his annual limit.papa, Where's our bonus point count at for Burak so far this year?

Apologies are a sign of weakness and I would soon be eaten alive in this forum.all in fun. Just say sorry for the cruel things you said about poor Nathan and I'll leave it alone.
I'm one of those "many" and it still stands. Kemerer hasn't done a whole lot that has shocked a lot of people that I am aware of. He ain't beating Sorensen now or anytime soon however. If for some reason they do meet up, I got some cold cash I'd be more than willing to part with.I said awhile back Kemerer was giving Sorenson all he wanted in the room and many thought I was crazy. Kemerer will get third and ODU kid will go for 5thWhat do most in attendance think now?
I still can't believe Kemdawg didn't cut him after the td with about 28 seconds left. The kid was gassed and ref was free with the stall call. That's ok though it will be good for him to work his way through the consolation side.

+1It looked like the kid was holding onto Kemerer, not letting him cut him. By the time he got free, there was not enough time. Kemerer made one bad move trying to roll out of the leg ride and got put to his back for the 4-pointer. Freshman mistake maybe. He made a strong comeback but ran out of time. Very impressed with him all day today. He's the real deal and will only get better in the Iowa room.

It's all about learning from your mistakes and he will learn from this one and get some great matches today on the consolation side. Did V Tech wrestle at midlands Metcalfs freshman year?Yep, he got a little impatient on bottom and made a four point mistake. Doubt he'll do that again.
