Hands down Ahmad Wagner...12 pts (4-4 from the field 4-5 from the line) 5 Rebs / 4 Assist / 2 steals & 4 blocks...that is MVP stuff. Wagner may or may not start but he certainly deserves starter minutes. Make no mistake this guy is a team leader (maybe THE team leader). Fran doesn't have to worry about the energy this guy brings...for that....he starts for me.

Agreed! He was an animal on the court....and I mean that positively.

Looking forward to seeing him have bigger role this year. His quickness and ability to block shots is refreshing. Seems like the type of small center that has always given Iowa fits..now we have our own guy like that.

Wagner needs to play more minutes at the 3. He's our best athlete. Can give Baer a break at the 3 and still play some minutes at 4/5.

I believe that as of now it seems that for the teams best interests Baer and Wagner should split time at the 3. If BE is going to back up Jok, I hope then we can get Moss some time backing up with a few minutes at the 2 and 3 . It looks to me like Moss is trying hard not to make mistakes and not being as aggressive as we will see him be in the future, much like Christian Williams was last year. This is ok with me as I like seeing progress, learning during games by making sure you're doing what coach wants first. The wild card is Maishe Dailey, he seems to me to have a great feel for the game in progress, but will he adhere to being where he is supposed to be in most instances ? His steal in the Regis game was really heads up, in football terms he is a playmaker. I'm not sure how Fran will be able to manage the backcourt: CW, Jok get the bulk I am certain. Bohannon next being what appears to be the only major prospect at point. So then getting minutes for Moss, BE, and Dailey is the issue Fran will deal with all season, because from what I have seen so far, all 3 of these players have B1G strengths and weaknesses, the weaknesses need to be corrected but IMO are due mostly because of lack of game experience. I think the front court will work itself out as ?i can see all the bigs contributing as they seem to have very complimentary skills. It is going to be an interesting year watching the bench rotations but more still seems better than less

Kenneshaw's Matterson (sp?) was just hot shooting last night, without his streak, IA would have blown them out by 30+ pts so he deserves MVP for them. Agreed that Wagner was MVP last night. Dailey seems to have very good court awareness and handles, so many players and so little time to share.
