Kid Captain...

Lee looks bigger (dare I say) than Clark in the arms/chest area from that pic. You guys going to the open practices picking up on that?

while his height doesnt seem to be growing, if he is filling out.... katy bar the door.

Spencer went hard with Corey yesterday and you could tell he was giving away both weight and strength. Plus based on his own words he feels like he is only at 75%. Could tell yesterday havng to battle Corey HARD that he did get tired and did look human for a change. Spencer did some good things but basically Corey was winning. However, Corey is an NCAA champion at a higher weight with 4-5 years more experience and if it had been a duel match Corey would have won but don’t think by a major.

In the pic, yes, however he is closer to the camera. All the tricks I use to use to look bigger than my brother who is 8 year older than me. Arm around him, cover his shoulder with my hand. Tricks little brothers play. Not saying this is a trick, he just happens to be much closer to the camera and will be larger in the pic.

You have to figure Lee has been hitting the upper body weights more during his rehab. Just like how he said he hit the weights hard on his lower body during his shoulder rehab. Clark has never been a big muscular guy at either 25/33. I think what he has is incredible grip strength.

A reminder of what a phenomenal room Iowa has for any 133-pounder who wants to become a national champ. . . .

To be fair, as you say, bb, Spencer is scrapping with a national champ and 4x AA who has great potential to become a World and Olympic medalist at the senior level, as well. If Spencer were getting the upper hand against a guy of that caliber, who's a full weight class up from him, at only 75%, I'd seriously suspect where the kid is human. The good news is that he'll only get better going against guys like Cory, Gilman, and others. That's not good news at all for any other 125-pounder in the US, however.
