Was there any doubt?
You don’t go for two until you have to. He chased points too early in the game when he didn’t need them. The book says you go for two there. It's easy to look back questioning it. Honestly, I think we should be more concerned that it was 19-7 with five minutes left in the third then Iowa was outscored 13-0 including three straight three and outs.
Do you think this book is at my local library? The book says you go for two there. It's easy to look back questioning it. Honestly, I think we should be more concerned that it was 19-7 with five minutes left in the third then Iowa was outscored 13-0 including three straight three and outs.
The book also says when you have it first and goal from the 4 at the end of the quarter and your run game has been working YOU RUN IT DOWN THEIR ****ING THROATS 3 plays in a row.The book says you go for two there. It's easy to look back questioning it. I agree, but I'd say Moulton is not the best personnel choice in that package. No idea why they insisted on him being in there. It needed to be KJ.The book also says when you have it first and goal from the 4 at the end of the quarter and your run game has been working YOU RUN IT DOWN THEIR ****ING THROATS 3 plays in a row.
Not in the middle of the third quarter. The book says you go for two there
Exactly, no reason to do it, it was as big of a momentum change as Cade's INT, a pass that was 6 feet behind LacheyYou don’t go for two until you have to. He chased points too early in the game when he didn’t need them.
Don't even think about consulting "the book" until the 4th quarter. The book says you go for two there. It's easy to look back questioning it. Anyone who expected differently from Kirk is a fool.
Ok, fact is the defense still gave up 13 unanswered points. The offense had multiple three and outs. That's where the problem lies.Don't even think about consulting "the book" until the 4th quarter.
No doubt. What in the hell did the staff see in Moulton to jump two seasoned vets on the depth chart. He does nothing as well as KJ and isn’t nearly as good as Williams either. I’m at a loss! Worst depth chart to start season ever with KJ at 3, absolutely laughable.I agree, but I'd say Moulton is not the best personnel choice in that package. As a Northwestern fan who wants to see Sullivan play and succeed, I completely agree.Ok, fact is the defense still gave up 13 unanswered points. The offense had multiple three and outs. That's where the problem lies.
It's hard if you constantly throw off your back foot
Play Sullivan like I said week 1. ****It's hard if you constantly throw off your back foot
True yes the refs were terrible. In his defense, ISU got away with 2 interferences in the endzone, their first td and our 2pt try. lol Still dumb to go for two.
Bingo. I like it when Kirk coaches from his couchThe book says you go for two there. It's easy to look back questioning it. Honestly, I think we should be more concerned that it was 19-7 with five minutes left in the third then Iowa was outscored 13-0 including three straight three and outs.
It is. Our joke for a QB couldn't convert field position into TDs
I do recall on several occasions where Nick Saban said, "I'd rather punt than put the ball in the endzone".It is. Our joke for a QB couldn't convert field position into TDs
Or Leshon but run the damn ball down their throatI agree, but I'd say Moulton is not the best personnel choice in that package. No idea why they insisted on him being in there. It needed to be KJ.

^^^^^^^You don't do it before the 4th quarter unless you're trailing by A LOT.You don’t go for two until you have to. He chased points too early in the game when he didn’t need them.
The 2 pt attempt was stupid and costly but father down the list of today's whys.Hey now. We were shut out in the 4th and only scored 6 in the second half. This has nothing to do with going for 2. This has to do with second half play calling and execution. Look, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we are going to have to learn ro score. Defense is great, but with the addition of the west coast teams and the push in the B10 to have more potent offenses, 19 points against a....... not top b12 team, is not going to cut it. I hate to say this as well, but with all the years and starting experience our OL is not up to standards. Yeah we may be "deeper" but we are mac level or slightly above at best, Not B10 level on first string mush less "deep". We are going to have to look for a new OL coach. The rest of the O I can see it making progress in a very short amount of time.
Couldn't get in with 3 tries from 2.Going for 2? Fine, but not when you are going to call a dogshit play that won’t work; not when the offense has proven they lack the ability to punch it in the endzone.
