Lardman

Apparently he was late for a practice. But I agree he's had too many chances.

Conditt is better anyway and doesn’t include the headache of Lard. Question is will Prohm let him build off a decent game today?

Doesn’t matter if it’s football or basketball... if you play for Iowa State, you face minimal, if any, consequences for your actions.

While Frans suspension kills our recruiting, this will boost ISU recruiting.

“If you come here you literally can’t get in actual trouble”
You must be related to Fran because you will make every excuse in the book for Fran. You probably blamed Dolph in another post for today’s loss.

After 9 years, it’s pretty clear Fran can’t get it done. Neither can barta. Both deserve to be fired but won’t.

Did you read the thread title?

It’s a joke

Rumblings on Twitter that Shayok broke a toe by kicking a door after an altercation at practice or in the locker room.

Post from CF with details that is being confirmed by a few other posters.

"Ok here are the details:

Conditt dunked on Talley almost breaking ZT's arm. MS told Conditt to cool it. A while passed and Conditt confronted MS and they got into a fist fight. Then later Conditt slammed a door which hit MS foot (which was barefoot) breaking his pinky toe.

Separate incident - MJ and LW got into it when MJ told LW that he is selfish and that if he'd be a better team player they'd be winning more. LW got in his face and MJ got back in LW's face until LW backed down."

I heard that MJ & LW threw punches also.

If ISU was half as tough during the games as they are in practice, they’d be scary!

This sounds like an episode of some housewives show my wife watches on Bravo.

Great bunch of guys

No we don't, we need to win and have them lose as we are fighting with them for seeding this last week.

Yeah but not really. ISU is still a 5 and we are a 9. Were not even close and again it’s our amazing non conf schedule. 295 ranked! Wow that is horrible!

ISU a 5 is just comical, it comes down to us playing the Bryant crap of the world, it really does. Non con SOS matters, schedule less sucky teams like Iowa seems to do and it would tick us up a few seed lines. So stupid. ISU is in free fall and still a freaking 5 with good metrics due to it.

We are not a 9 seed, Lunardi sucks at this anymore. We sit the first 8 seed according to bracket matrix (ISU last 5 seed, and we sit just directly behind Wofford who I still think we get a higher seed than), second 8 seed according to Yahoo (ISU is last 6 seed), and CBS has both teams as 7 seeds. We are way closer than most want to admit, and now they have fights and Shayok out.
Other teams we need to cheer against in order to help our seed:
Nova, Buffalo, Nevada, Cinn, Lousville, Auburn, Wofford and Baylor.

This is not at all the reason ISU is a 5 and Iowa is a 9. Yes it would help if Iowa scheduled up in the non-con, but it isn't like ISU scheduled a murderer's row themselves. Here is why ISU is ranked well by metrics and why Iowa is not ranked as well:
ISU has (using NET rankings):
-a 4 point win at #10
-a 17 point win over #16
-a 14 point win at #27
-a 14 point win at #37
-a sweep of #41 (including a 17 point home win)
-a win over #33
-6 of ISU's 9 losses are by 5 points or less
-3 bad losses in the eyes of the computer by being blown out by Iowa and Texas and losing to Zona
The computers love big wins, close losses and few bad losses.

Iowa on the other hand has:
-two high quality double digit wins vs #9 and #18, both at home
-5 double digit losses including at home to #98
-one possession wins against #123, #98, #95 and a five point win over #319

Iowa is not hurt that much by who they played in the non-con, they are hurt by close wins vs bad teams, double digit losses and basically no high quality road wins.
ISU and Iowa are both in free falls statistically speaking, but ISU is doing more to tread water than Iowa right now in the metrics. A loss at WVU tonight will be the first real killer ISU will have.

Man this is turning into a season to forget, that’s for sure,
It is a sputter to the finish for sure, but I guess the bright spot is a season ending up as a 7 or 8 seed is now a season to forget. Given where we were before Hoiberg, that is still a reality check

Doesn't Kenpom have us with the 37th hardest schedule in the country? Yeah, our non-conference was a bit soft, but if Oregon and UConn would have held up their end, it wouldn't have been so bad, and playing 20 games in the B1G in just murderous this year.
