Anyone able to see the list of wrestlers for this? I can't seem to find a list on track.

That's nice to hear Marsteller is listed and won't be sucking down to 157. He looked like his old self last year at UWW Juniors where he had some great wins. I wonder if he'll be transferring out of OSU next season. He'll have to beat out a very good Chandler Rogers. He would slot in very nicely for us at 165. It's only fair...we let them have Mocco.

I thought Mocco was pay back for Brinzer.

Had to do a double take...
Marion is going 65kg not 57.

That would have been a hell of a pull.

Perry paid back the debt to OSU when he got beat in CHA by an OSU reserve? in a dual which ended a long winning streak for the Hawks, if'n I remember correctly.

Not a reserve, but Jake Diffenbach's (transfer from NAIA power Lindenwood, might have been a low AA if he hadn't destroyed his knee right before the conference tournament) win that night was a big upset. I'm not sure that win was worth Perry finally beating Hendricks in the NCAA finals, though, from a Cowboy perspective.

Man, this is going to turn out to be a pretty solid tournament.

57 KG - Give me Hoch here, but some pretty good competition. Wouldn't be completly surprised if Micic snuck away with it though.

Andrew Hochstrasser (N/A) Idaho TMWC
Bradley Pataky (N/A) Pennsylvania Nittany Lion Wrestling Club
Earl Hall (RS Sr) Iowa Iowa State
Obenson Blanc (N/A) North Carolina TMWC
Stevan Micic (College) Indiana Cliff Keen Wrestling Club
Zach Sanders (N/A) Minnesota University of Minnesota

74 KG could be interesting if Hall shows up to wrestle Valencia and Marstellar. I think Hall blows through Marstellar but Valencia and Hall would be worth the trip to Cedar Falls.

86 KG is stacked! A finals match of Hamlin and Nickal would be great to see

Bo Nickal (RS Fr) Pennsylvania Nittany Lion Wrestling Club
Bobby steveson (College) Minnesota Minnesota Storm
Deron Winn (N/A) Iowa TMWC
Kevin Steinhaus (N/A) Minnesota Minnesota Storm
Nicholas Heflin (N/A) New Jersey Princeton AWS
Robert Hamlin (N/A) Pennsylvania Lehigh valley athletic club
Ryan Loder (N/A) Iowa Panther Wrestling Club RTC
Timmy McCall (N/A) North Carolina TMWC

Huge props for Nickal attending the tournament and having success. He went up 15 lbs and and he was wrestling grown men. Bo needs to get bigger and I'm sure it's in the plans for him to get up to 184 in two years. He's someone to keep an eye on in that weight class for 2020.

Penn State fans should be happy about this instead of coming onto the Iowa board and acting like a complete JA.

It's pretty disappointing that this is right in our back yard and we don't have a single guy competiting. UNI, ISU, Penn state etc. all have guys in there and doing quite well actually. Who care if you lose? Go get some mat time and have some fun.....Unless your recovering from an injury

Was 5th place fun?!?!?!?

I don't know...how was 6th place last year? Seemed like it was pretty fun because no one really bitched about it from PSU. Also, didn't see you on here last year as well Bandwagon Clown. This, a year after PSU folks made fun of Tom Ryan for taking a year off to load up. But when Cael does it...it's just smart strategy.

To be fair...most of our guys are already in. The two that kind of suck for me is Brooks and Gilman. Gilman had said he would only try and compete if he had won the title though.

Why would you come to an Iowa board and post this? Get out of here! People like you make the multitude of respectable Penn State fans look bad. I'll even post a link to your board.

Chief, I thinks it's time for another Chuckles picture.

I hear what your saying but I'm talking about current guys or redshirts. Max Thompsen beat Montell Marion and won a few matches. I'm sure Stoll would have been there if healthy(Greco).

Can't like this post enough. Now he gets Heflin in the 3rd place bout - ooof! That's a size discrepancy.

I was complaining about that last summer as well. I imagine our shirts are getting ready for Fila Juniors. Kemdawg, Turk etc. If you look at it historically, Iowa guys haven't participated on a large scale until they graduated. Ramos, McD...Gilman would be the only one that had a legit shot at moving on. Think it comes down to making sure there are no injuries for the seniors

I thought Mocco was pay back for Brinzer.

Doesn't count. Can't fault a guy for leaving a program in trouble through no fault of his while Mocco was a National Champion leaving a program with no NCAA violations. I see Chance headed to PA though. Too much pressure at Iowa IMO.

I agree. I guess we don't have a ton of young studs in the room but they should definitely be at Fila Juniors(UWW). This is one of my favorite tournaments of the year. Names I hope we see there.
-Paddock
-Kem
-Happel
-Turk
-Halloway
-Wilckie
-Gunther
-Glynn
-Bowman
-Marinelli-I'll never understand why some kids don't wrestle freestyle. It's worked for most of the SPG kids though.
