Last duel threat qb we had was a Heisman runner up.

The last time we had a dual threat QB our current QB was looking forward to his first year in preschool.

What I wouldn't give for a running QB.
The entertainment value of Iowa football is sorely lacking, for me. I have little to no interest in watching low scoring defensive struggles.

It takes more a than a mobile QB, see Boyle. They have to be able to pass as well

The frequently porous offensive lines paired with well-anchored QBs is a bit frustrating.

Give us one or the other - if you have to - but not both!

Wasn't cj a dual threat? Just got slowed down by injuries? Also, wasn't Jake Christensen?

I was thinking CJB preinjury when I opened the thread. Hell didn't he have a 60 plus td run in the preseason with the Niners.

Watching these games it might be nice to have one. Lol
Can't have any of that Heisman trophy crap going on, too sexy. Lol

The real heisman trophy candidate was the OL; amazing running game, solid pass protection, created wide-open receivers on play action. Banks was an average qb, and went undrafted in the NFL draft.

Tajh Boyd of Clemson a couple years ago reminded me of banks Boyd can't even cut it in the cfl

The only moron is you, take a look at Clemson, Bama, Ohio State, even James Madison.
Seahawks, Panthers, Bills, yeah you have it all figured out dipshit.
Lmao

Do you really want us to list all the teams with statues at QB that won, and won a lot?

JC was definitely a dual threat. Whether he was running or throwing, he was always a threat to derail Iowa's chances of winning.

(*rim shot...cymbal crash*)

Thank you, thank you. You've been a great crowd. Doodle will be here all week. Two shows on Friday and Saturday. Don't forget to tip your waitress. Try the veal.

Jake C was a dual threat QB (rated #4) in his class.

Brad Banks was a great one, but he was also diamond in the rough. He was also surrounded by talent. Some of the best OL, TE, and WR in Iowa History.
