There is no strategy for any of it. Turns out, government can work pretty well w/o much direction, until you hit some big crisis point. Then the lack of leadership and sound decisionmaking is amplified in spades.
Astounds me that "less government" conservatives are in favor of "less oversight" on those in power. The juxtaposition of diametrically opposite views hurts my brain.
