Let’s be honest

Four weeks ago many were saying “I’m tired of Nelson.”
You gotta remember this is Iowa wrestling and some here are nuts. And some here don't understand the sport as well as they think. Nelson has been and is the best 174 in the room. My opinion is it was always his spot and he got hurt. Many will say but PK will allocate look back and see if Tom cares about allocations. The best guy will wrestle at the Big 10s regardless of who allocates

I don't know that I agree that one is better than the other. And I don't know that I agree that Gabe would be the best 174 either. They are all really close. I think Nelson will get a match next weekend. Hopefully Minn or NW has a tough 174 so we can see where he's at.
Or give Nelson a match at 184 since many here wanna wait on Ferrari.
As long as he's been out, maybe 174 is not in the cards.

Next year to get all of our horses in the race Kennedy and Caliendo both need to drop a weight. It would be a hell of a cut for Caliendo but does he really want another year with Messenbrink in his bracket?
125 Cruz/DeLuca
133 Ayala
141
149 Estrada
157 Caliendo
165 Kennedy
174 Arnold
184 Ferrari
197 Ludington
Hwt Kueter

Also, and I know this isn't going to be popular but the middleweights need someone far better than Ryan to train/roll with. Bring Kemerer back to replace Ryan. No one could say that that wouldn't be a great move for the program.

I don’t want to see Caliendo sucked down.

I don’t see the need to make a shift to get Kennedy in the lineup.

I am happy you’ve moved on to another man crush former wrestler with little to no track record of success coaching. I can get on board with an assistant coaching shake up, but why not actually go out and get someone good?

Not sure why it would change much. He will win/lose the same amount of 2-1 matches whether hes at 65-74-84-97 with his style.
Disagree. His offense is at least partly limited bc he's undersized for the weight. At 74 he'll be one of the physically stronger guys whereas he's definitely not at 84. That goes a long way when it comes to effective offense.

Lenny was definitely feeling it for a good spell there. and was slow back to the middle a couple times.

but i chuckled when there was a blood stoppage and someone text me 'only hawkeye fans would boo blood'
The Nebby fan next to be laughed and high fived me when I said ‘I think he went Dusty Rhodes and cut himself to get a lung timeout’
Had fun throughout the meet

That's 3 in a row...it's not an off match, it's a pattern. I got called out for "throwing shade" at Gabe after MD match but no offense and close matches often lead to disappointing losses in March.
it was certainly not '3 in a row' where guys were living on his legs like silas was.

if you want to say it's a pattern that Gabe hasn't taken a ton of shots, fine.

but almost no one ever sniffs a leg on gabe and silas was in half a dozen times. i haven't seen anyone get in on gabe like that and i've watched just about every match he's ever wrestled for six years.
