Unfortunately, a couple of key great plays from the MSU and Purdue games are missing from this compilation, but enjoy a season highlight film of one of our greatest teams ever.

Here's what you miss, sorry to say:

MSU: We're down 15-14 late and MSU has the ball. The MSU QB bungles a snap and the ball squirts straight up in the air. Blitzing LB, Joe Williams, (platoon football back then) has the ball fall into his hands and he races for a TD. Then, as you see, we actually score again to win 27-15.

Wisconsin: After the TD that was called back, Hollis goes to the end zone again. The ball deflects off a Wisconsin player into the hands of Sammie Harris. Iowa wins 28-21.

Purdue: LB, Dayton Perry Jr., later to become a cop in East St. Louis, IL., finds himself with the ball after a freakish bobbled snap similar to the one vs. MSU and outruns the Purdue Running Backs 84 yards for a touchdown. Iowa wins 21-14 to retain their #1 ranking.
