They have the most basketball championships in all of basketball. Don't think so.

Not arguing. A lot gets lost in translation with simple writing. I'll give you a win on this one.
Typical Alford, win a game against a top team, play mediocre the rest of the year. It will keep the pressure off for most of the year and he'll keep dragging UCLA down.
That's because no one in LA really cares about sports unless your team is really good. UCLA has had problems getting people to show up for several years.
Again. Attendance issues are a problem all over the country. (Some ninny will point out the few constantly sold out arena's....of 351 teams.) If Iowa is , and we are, in the top twenty regarding attendance than maybe we aren't doing so bad?
The problem isn't LA, or anything else but those cheap big HD flat screens and 4,000 pizza places ready to deliver a large pizza for less than a cheeseburger and soda cost at Carver.
And if anybody thinks fans that stay home are bad fans? Talk to Jim Delany because he's scheduling games to cater to that television crowd!
Times have simply changed people. That's why I'm saying this on a computer instead of having to go find a sports bar.
