Lugo-Midlands Article-Hawk Central

So, what was potentially going on with his former program that made him want to transfer out?

I'm still pumped Lugo is a hawkeye. Even more excited after seeing him at Midlands. Started off a little slow day 1, his first actual competition since WTT's in June. Then on day 2 he came out with a little more attitude, pop, and fluidity in his scrambles/attacks, looked like the Lugo i remembered from WTT's. Beat a bunch of good guys, and closed the gap on Deakin, who will be among his primary competition for a NCAA title @149 the next 2 years along with Oliver/Kolodzik/Thomsen/Hayes and any other newcomes to the weight (if Deakin can continue making 149.. he looks enormous for the weight.). I like what we've got at 149 through 2020.
