Luke Wieskamp & Jack McCaffery, Class of 2025

I'm very confused here, Kurt. I've never mentioned social media or this cancer you speak of. Just saying it's weird for dudes to rant about random political stuff and attack people on a board that's supposed to be about sports. If you want to get angry and attack people based on generalizations, there are plenty of places on the internet for that. HawkeyeReport is for talking Hawks.
You should check out HORT. Hawkeyereport OT board is a place where Iowa and FSU fans discuss weird shit and current events, not just the hawks

We're in a whole new world of sensitivity and an insane belief that every subjective grievance needs to be voiced.

Can you imagine having your parents get involved in your quarrels when you were in college? That would really be embarrassing.

Nothing says pussy quite like a teenage boy or college half a boy and half a man having mommy defend him.
Would you go and take mommy's phone or something?

We, and our parents didn’t have to deal with todays social media idiocy. Fans have also become more vocal, demanding and downright insane. I’m not saying this didn’t exist when I grew up (70’s and 80’s), but no where near the levels it does today. Fans ripping young men is not the same as having a quarrel in college.
Wait til more are being paid big money!!

No but I would have told my parents to keep their ****ing mouths shut about my public conflicts, not that it would have been necessary. They would not have required telling because men and women do not publicly involve their parents in their conflicts, and mine would not have presumed to do so.

You know, a lot of people get their shit all stirred up by me calling them college boys and girls. Here's a good bright line distinction between men and women and boys and girls. Men and women do not let their parents get involved in their conflicts. Big bright line.

That's why we Boomers know we will continue to be the T Rex's of our epoch for a long time to come.

My mother's father was a gangster. Like me she grew up in nightclubs, casinos and high stakes cards.

A houseful of loud and profane Greeks. Respect was demonstrated through actions, not words. Actions, one of which would be the understanding that your quarrels are your own and not theirs; and, parental involvement would only make us look weak. Weak is not a good look on a man.

Telling your mom to shut her FOKING mouth would make you look pretty weak to most men....

I’ll be honest……I don’t know what to think of you…..You’re kind of “Extreme”

I’m a Boomer too but have evolved differently it seems…… we’re all flawed in our own ways and as different as we are we can find things we agree on….. people should do more of that…..got kinda off topic….. apologies

It's too bad there wasn't a way to move Jack up into a better class of opposition. In most of that clip it looks as though he's playing against kids a couple of grades beneath him. Better competition might accelerate his progress.

My best guess is that he’s playing 15U teams. Maybe 16U. But he’s definitely not playing younger teams. Once in a while you will see a really good team play up, but it’s pretty rare at this level. My son plays 14U and we play top level when in Omaha. Meanwhile, the highest level, which MND1 is, is usually playing, is in KC, Atlanta, Vegas, etc. He plays against kids older than him Dec - Mar.

In twelve classes? TWELVE!?!?!?! TWELVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TJ Otz will most likely sign 2 or more in his first 2 classes and surpass Fran in that metric despite coming into one of the worst displays for a P5 program in NCAA basketball history....

Keep calling tens of thousands of Iowa fans racist, Mr Buchanan, it’s a REALLY smart look!
Now the truth comes out. You're a ****ing Cyclone fan coming on here to troll.

Yesterday I had a good conversation about this coming season and the possibility of Moline High School making it to the Illinois Championship game with a local High School coach and he said that a freshman on the Moline team is really good and he indicated he could be good enough to be in the top 25 in the class of 2025.
That freshmen is 6-6 combo guard Bradon Freeman the brother of Iowa 2023 commit Owen Freemen. Haven't seen any videos of him and heard he broke a hand in his last AAU game but should be ready to play be late October or earlier.
Anyone else have any info on this kid. The coach I talked to has been deeply involved in Moline sports and I have no doubt of his inside knowledge on this kid. Wasn't to enthused about his team having to play Moline twice this coming year. LOL

Braedon.

So are you familiar or heard about Braedon? I knew that Owen had a brother, but was unaware that he could be this good. If so Moline will be loaded this coming year....🤣😁👍👀
He has been mentioned in other posts and some previously linked stories. I corrected the spelling as it makes it easier to find more about him on the web if you spell it right. 🙂

The other mistake I made was Braedon will be a sophomore this upcoming season, and I haven't found any service that list his name as a upcoming prospect and for that matter I haven't seen McCaffery or Wieskamp mentioned in any publication, what am I missing?

Most recruiting sites don't rank kids that far in advance so they only show up on recruiting sites if they receive offers. To my knowledge none of the 3 kids you named have received offers to any colleges at the moment.

However there are some newspapers and state prep publications that do rankings that early--just don't believe Iowa has one, for example:
