Maddie looks really great and so does Olivia. Maddie is #30 in white, Olivia is #1 in orange. Maddie is Chad's daughter and REALLY wants to be a Hawkeye. I would offer her right now, Lisa. Olivia is fabulous and would be a great get.

What is the holdup on Greenway's daughter? I know she is only in 8th grade so maybe let it play out a bit but she looks to be a fantastic prospect.

Just a guess, but right now driving to the basket is a significant component of her game, but she is only 5'6'. The coaches might want to see if she either grows taller or if her game becomes more well-rounded before offering (because they know she will likely accept the moment she is offered).

I think Halli Poock from Waterloo West is experiencing the same thing. She looks like a really dynamic player in high school and AAU, but doesn't seem to have any P5 offers likely due to height concerns.

I could see that. The highlights above were like driving against air at times. There was zero help defense. Greenways team looked as though they could get inside anytime they wanted.

Yeah I wondered about her height, too, If that is the hold up, I hope she grows a few more inches. Isn't she already Gabbie Marshalls height? She's 3 inches taller than Cardano-Hillary from Indiana and she is a handful.

Let's also keep in mind we already have a commitment from Callie Levin in the '24 class and she is only 5'9". 2- 5'9" guards may be a bit small for the B1G. Let's hope Maddie grows a few inches.

Don’t have a link but a poster in an earlier thread said Maddy Greenway‘s mom is only 5’2”” which might not bode well for a growth spurt from her.

Height doesn't necessarily mean a player can't play at a high level, it just means they have to have areas of their game that don't rely on height.

Gabbie is a shooter and decent on-ball defender. She doesn't really attack the basket much and mostly shoots jumpers if she does drive beyond the 3-point line. Her height doesn't have much of an impact on her shooting.

Cardano-Hillary is most known for her defense and ball-handling (two things she can do well even with her height). She does attack the basket a lot, but she isn't particularly good at doing so (she shoots more than 12 percentage points worse than Clark and nearly 10 percentage points worse than Kate Martin on 2-point shots).

If Maddyn can shoot like Gabbie or play defense like Cardano-Hillary, she's fine. If scoring at the rim is the best part of her game and she isn't elite in other areas, she could struggle. Note: I'm not making any evaluation on her complete game. Just noting that driving is a big part of it in those highlights.

Lisa needs to start recruiting some girls with quick feet.
Maddie needs to become an outside shooting threat. She has the quickness to get by a defender already.
Olivia should be a great college player.
