My niece, who recently took a job as a reporter in Cincy, got her first viral story moment as a result of the pre-show hullabaloo...
I clicked on the story just to see what @Aardvark86 's niece look like. Did not go away disappointed.

I tend to like her stuff - I’m deaf in one ear so I don’t like music genres that are loud intentionally, or stuff like hip/hop where they’re just so rapid fire I have trouble following what they’re saying.
I don’t have a problem with anyone saying they don’t like someone’s music; but someone like her it just seems silly to say she sucks.
I would imagine that her job makes it difficult as she's constantly touring and most of the people she's likely interested in dating are constantly on the move as well.

i would not dispute the 'shows' part, as that's actually the whole business model. Beyond that though, sometimes marketing is in fact greater than the product itself

To be clear, i don't begrudge her her capitalism or her marketing. Marketing creates new products by inducing demand, including for things people never knew they needed like vaginal deodorants. Also, I do not believe by any means that taylor swift is somehow a sign of the imminent collapse of civilization as we know it.
