He's already going through male pattern baldness. I'd say he's quite advanced in the physical maturity department. We'll see how he continues to develop.

What a jacka$$ thing to say LemonPie! Delete your last post. It serves no good here.

Hes a PSU fan, who frequents the mat forums, enjoys backhanded comments towards Iowa wrestlers/Iowa program/Iowa Coaches.. etc..

Hey, I also enjoy backhanded comments towards Ohio State wrestlers and coaches.

Indeed. Here's a recent LemonPie post from themat forum:

<<Tom Ryan forces his wrestler to wrestle with a concussion.... This is after denying him a redshirt. This anti-American is a tyrant. >>

This kind of toxic sludge is what makes reading themat forum unappealing. It's a shame Lemonpie has chosen to grace this forum with his insights.

If Lee wants to compete internationally and go to the Olympics, it's a no brainer than to train with TnT. But, of course, wait and see (I literally hate it when I have to say that).

I do hope that Warner gets on board, kid is doing some great things and I think can evolve into an even better wrestler than he is now.

And, I'd have to agree with most on here and say that Young is our 2nd best recruit. Guy shot up the rankings and is now #3 at his weight, 2 behind the bull. Hoping that we have another Brinzer on our hands, you there Ray? :)

I'm not saying the sentiment is incorrect, and I'm basically coming from ignorance here, but would someone care to expound on why exactly, if Lee has serious aspirations of Olympic gold in the lighter weights, he is considerably better suited to join the Hawkeye's over PSU? The credentials and reputations of TnT need no introduction, but I'm to believe that Cael Sanderson, the 4 timer who has an Olympic gold of his own is somehow ill or lessor equipped to show the prodigy Lee the way? Would anyone care to put a number on the increase in his chances of winning Olympic gold due to picking IA vs PSU, and then explain why?

Also, Lawler from Bett is the UFC Welterweight Champ, not middleweight. He was ICON Middleweight Champ and EliteXC Middleweight Champ.

TnT lightweights: Cejudo, Dennis, McDonough, Ramos, Gilman & Clark -- Olympic gold medalist, US Open champ, World University trials champ, 2x World team member, 2x World junior team member, NCAA finalist, respectively. Dennis, McD, Ramos & Clark -- seven NCAA final appearances, three championships. If he goes to Iowa, Lee will become practice partners with Dennis, McD, Ramos, Gilman, Clark and Mejia.

Cael lightweights: Megaludis -- two-time national finalist. If he goes to PSU, Lee's practice partners will be Mega and Suriano.

PSU is a great team, but where would you rather be if you were a lightweight with Olympic aspirations?

What a punk thing to say. But it's clear that this is your MO. That's pretty sad. Time to throw another fool onto the ignore list. It's getting long.

The next question is whether the amount of hair on a guy's head has anything to do with anything of any importance whatsoever. The answer is absolutely not. Alex will be welcomed to Iowa with open arms, regardless of what he looks like. Great kid and a great wrestler. That's more than enough for us.

Until Brands produces a World or Olympic medal from one his wrestlers, these claims of being the better place to win internationally are simply not based in reality. Furthermore, once you consider the number of medals the NLWC has won since Cael arrived, including a light weight Silver medal, the claim becomes even more dubious…...and stop claiming Cejuda, he didn't wrestle for Iowa or the Hawk Wrestling club. He trained exclusively freestyle from high school on for team USA. The fact you try to include him speaks volumes.

Thank heavens Gable kept his hair FOREVER.

I don't mean to sound callous and I obviously have a pro-TnT bias, but I would think it'd be a no-brainer. Cael probably weighs 200lbs. He's not getting on the mat and rolling around with Spencer Lee. Cody Sanderson might be, but he's not in the same league as Tom or Terry. There's an Iowa workout video on you tube that I'm sure a lot of Hawk fans have seen where Terry puts an absolute beat down on Matt McDonough. McD is either a freshman or a sophomore. McD obviously credits a great deal of his success to his coaches.

To be fair we would have to add Retherford and Molinaro to Cael's resume'. They both had some success at 141 and compete at the second lightest freestyle weight. That would also add Metcalf to TnT's list.

Advantage=TnT.

Tiger, ask Cejudo how much credit he gives Terry Brands for his success. Terry ran Cejudo's Olympic training camp. The fact that you think the NLWC is currently a more successful club that the HWC speaks volumes. Current HWC National team members-2 Current NLWC National team members-0. The last NLWC member to compete at a World Championships was Ed Ruth......and he left the NLWC for the Sunkist Kids. Jake Varner was fantastic in 2012, but his time has past him by and Kyle Snyder is not giving that spot up anytime soon and the other NLWC member of note Franklin Gomez wrestles for friggin Puerto Rico (who btw got beat by Metcalf from the HWC at Pan Ams).

Methinks you sound a tad defensive. I didn't say that Cael was a bad coach or that PSU was a bad place to train. Obviously, the opposite is true on both counts. But the track record for lightweights is clearly better at Iowa/HWC, and I listed a lot of evidence in support of my position; you not so much. And, why can't the Lees and Mejias of the world consider that Terry personally trained Cejudo, out of high school, to become the youngest US Olympic gold medal winner? Who else gets credit for training Cejudo? His high school coach in Arizona?

I'd love to see that video. Anyone have a link?

Guys,

You have to understand Tigsy is an extreme diehard PSU fan. In fact, I wouldn't doubt that if he found a bag of garbage on Ebay being sold as Cael Sanderson's, he would buy it for WAAAY too much and hang it on the wall in his one room apartment.

In another words, consider the source, laugh at the absurdity and move on.........................

Gilman owned Tomasello for 2 years freestyle before the Nate's 1 takedown folkstyle win. Gilman literally kept NT from off the Junior world team so...................just sayin.

EDIT: I see you have a smiley................so no disrespect.
