The Coral Ridge Mall is hosting a free screening for a well-known political commentator's latest documentary.
The University of Iowa Young Americans for Freedom chapter, in partnership with The Daily Wire, will host a free pre-release evening screening of Matt Walsh's upcoming film, "Am I Racist?" at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9 at Marcus Coral Ridge Cinema.
The screening is open to University of Iowa students, staff, and the greater Iowa City community. Walsh will not be present.
The Young Americans for Freedom, a student-led group, hosted Walsh on the University of Iowa campus in April 2023 at the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) while screening another documentary, "What is a Woman?" According to the documentary's description, "What is a Woman?" claims to explore and "question the logic behind a gender ideology movement that has taken aim at women and children."
In "Am I Racist?" directed by Justin Folk, Walsh "transforms himself into a certified diversity, equity, and inclusion expert, only to uncover a world where profit, not principle, drives the agenda" according to the film's official logline.
