Maybe Iowa fans should just adopt the approach that Dresser used to employ...we didn't need him, but we drove up the cost of the scholarship offer for the team that got him?Solid and hard nosed kid but not an upgrade over what we have in house nor is he at the elite level we should be targeting.
He wasn't going to get a big money offer here. Not ranked high enough or enough need at his weight. He will be behind the Cuban unless the Cuban bumps to heavyweight.Maybe Iowa fans should just adopt the approach that Dresser used to employ...we didn't need him, but we drove up the cost of the scholarship offer for the team that got him?
I realize that.He wasn't going to get a big money offer here. Not ranked high enough or enough need at his weight. He will be behind the Cuban unless the Cuban bumps to heavyweight.
I think the feeling is mutual. lolI realize that.
I said it to antagonize the ISU fans that read this forum.
I'm "in their head".
Don’t ever changeI realize that.

If you knew me, you'd know I like to yank people's chains.I think the feeling is mutual. lol
I believe he’d only be behind the Cuban for 1 year as he’s a senior this year and can red shirt next year. He’d be a red shirt freshman when The Cuban is a senior. He wasn't going to get a big money offer here. Not ranked high enough or enough need at his weight. Sounds right.I believe he’d only be behind the Cuban for 1 year as he’s a senior this year and can red shirt next year. He’d be a red shirt freshman when The Cuban is a senior.
Hagarty is a man. He will handle Ross, imhoAnyone wanna predict this year's Hagarty vs Dreshaun Ross outcome? I'm excited for that one.
Prying Sinclair away from Mizzou would be a tough task. Trains there as often as possible, I believe.Sounds right.
I'd like to get Cody Merrill or Sinclair if we are going to target that weight class.

Really? I'm shocked. If you knew me, you'd know I like to yank people's chains.
FYI...back in the days of the Rival's "Prep Forum", I'd go rounds with Keith Meeks and have him so worked up that I was afraid he'd "spaz out".
Just a character flaw on my part.
None of the Waverly kids over the years have really been ultra successful in college.Watched him against hill finals match at 95. He’s a specimen. Kind of thought we might get him. Good pick up for isu. Looks like a multiple AA type
Don’t know how to break this to you, but few in the entire state at any one time are ultra successful in college wrestling.None of the Waverly kids over the years have really been ultra successful in college.
I'm hoping Riggins is.
But we'll see.
Hagarty is a man. He will handle Ross, imho
Just saying that although WSR is the premiere high school club in the State right now, none of their kids have tore it up in college over the years. I could just say even qualifying for Nattys.Don’t know how to break this to you, but few in the entire state at any one time are ultra successful in college wrestling.

Thanks, I forgot Steiert. You can say whatever you want but that doesn’t make it accurate. Just in recent years Austin Yant and Bryce Steiert have been NCAA qualifiers. Steiert was a two time all-American. Going back, Mark Ballweg was an NCAA qualifier at Iowa in 2013. Might be more, but those come to mind for me.
Hagerty has the profile of a guy one would expect to challenge for an AA berth by his senior year at a minimum.
Askren talked a little about his interests on one of the shows recently. I know PSU was named as one he is interested in but can't recall if Iowa was one or not. He made it sound like Mizzou wasn't a lock. Askren tells some funny stories about Sinclair...kid seems like a hoot to be around. One of my favorites was him getting a 15 second pin and when he came off mat he told Ben he was really working hard on being patient that match. LolPrying Sinclair away from Mizzou would be a tough task. Trains there as often as possible, I believe.

Challenge for AA as a senior???
Lofty expectations.
