The more you read about and see these guys, the more excited you have to get, right? I think Iowa has a chance to have a tremendous season, and by that I mean contending for the Big Ten title and making a run in the NCAA Tournament. This Iowa team could be the surprise of the Big Ten and, maybe, the nation.
I know many of you remain highly skeptical, and I've never been overly impressed with Fran, but I see tremendous potential to play defense and rebound while improving on an already efficient offense. And the Hawkeyes will have quality depth. Put all that together and, well, that's the formula for success.
Imagine if Iowa football has an offense and Iowa men's basketball has a defense. The 2024-25 seasons could be memorable.

I'm excited about the athleticism. I will remain skeptical that Fran will be patient enough to coach them up.
Been away with the storm and power outage in Houston, but it seems like no one is talking about Dembele. I think he can play an important role as a strong 4 and back up 5. Not a flashy player, but a guy who will play really good interior defense and REBOUND. On offense, he will be asked to set picks and spot up for 3s, especially when Owen is on the floor to work near the basket.

I'd have NO problem with an Aaron White at Iowa again either.....And Garza was not too shabby for a "pastie."
Rebounding on both ends was a glaring drop off last year compared to prior years. May take awhile to come together with this many new faces but a higher ceiling than last year it feels.

Anyone else like this statement from Payton - besides the rest of his game, Traore brings his New York City basketball toughness.

In the video, watch how every pass from Dix to Harding is in exactly the same place, his shooting pocket. When guys make threes, it is usually when they can catch and shoot in rhythm. Some elite shooters, like Payton when he is hot, make them anyhow.
