Medicaid like most social giveaway programs has been allowed to run rampant. People are allowed on the program Ad nauseam.
Socialist healthcare systems > than our privatized grifting form. We don’t fully fund education and healthcare in this country. Our money and resources are being hoarded by the oligarchs.

I don't know about that. Have Canadian neighbors in Florida and they have to wait 2 years for knee replacement surgery. I could get that done in the US in 3 months. I prefer US healthcare to their programs. If you ask them they would say the same. It's not always greener... Granted our insurance system is awful too....
They are lying to you. They are repeating a discredited myth. A knee replacement surgery varies by province bur usually only takes 12 -20 weeks.
Highly doubt they are lying to me. He's a dentist so familiar with their health services. There are numerous canadian part-time snowbirds by us. Maybe it's the long list to see the physician you want to do the operation. I did not ask the details on why such a long wait. US insurance companies also try alternate measures before surgery. I had to take one of those shots that did not take and set me 3 months back before I could do surgery hobbling along.
Our healthcare is nowhere near the best in the world with what we pay for in return. Capitalism is a grift that only a few benefit from. The data shows as much.
Really depends on the situation in Canada. I have family up in Alberta. A cousin said the same thing.....has been waiting a long time for a medical procedure.
But there are so many other stories. My aunt was diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma. Spent months in the hospital for care and still gets chemo. Hasn't gotten a single bill. A good buddy of mine was diagnosed stage 4 Mesothelioma in 2012. HIs first oncologist game him 6 months to live. He luckily found another oncologist doing a groundbreaking procedure right there in Calgary. Immediately had the surgery and is still in remission.
If you join an online, cancer support group, it's the Australians and Canadians that feel sorry for the Americans for having to jump through hoops to pay obscene medical bills.
